Portofino Club Rooms

I have booked a club room at the Portofino. DOes that mean that it will definitely be a deluxe room? Can anyone recommend the best area to stay? We mostly want quick access to the parks.

Club rooms are deluxe room category, yes.Your room could theoretically be anywhere in the resort, but they tend to put all the club level guests in the villas section of the resort.Club lounge is down the hall from the front desk on lobby level ( floor 3).Villas rooms overlook the main Beach pool or the quiter Villa pool.They are a walk to the boat dock, but nothing horrible.West wing rooms are closest to the walking path and boatdock, and you can request it, but that will put you further away from the lounge, and you may not get your request.

We were recently in the Villa wing, and the walk was fine. If you have a long enough stay, or if you're willing to ask one of the concierge staff at a quiet time, you can find/find out the shorter ways to go. Like we started to find that taking the elevator very close to our room took us out by the spa (our room was right above the spa, which took a few days to figure out) and that was quicker than walking alllll the way out past the lobby, down the stairs, etc etc. Since it was cold, even if we were in the lounge we would still have gone back towards our room and take that elevator and path. At least it was indoors and warm.

The first time we had club, we were in the West Wing (club was comped so we were in a different wing). It took us a few days to find the optimal route from our room to the club room. It would be smart to ask for the shortest was because, like Bumbershoot said, there are many routes.

Our room was west wing/bay view and only a few steps from the elevator. Very convienent to everything but the pool.
