They consider Pop in the AK area. All the tags for Pop are labled like that.

I think it should be in the Epcot area, but I guess they already have a lot of resorts in that area. It's just for sorting the bags. When you are at the resort see if you can see the ME luggage arriving at the resort. It's neat how it arrives.

Thanks!

My DS8 was so funny about the tags. I let him open the envelope (we've never done ME before) and then I explained that we don't have to go get our luggage at the airport, then they take it to our room for us.

He says, "Why do we get such special treatment?" :rotfl:

got my ME tags today! Anyone know why there is a green Mickey head on it that says "AK" in the middle, then down below the head, "POP-Classic"?

I almost thought the tags were for Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I wondered the same thing. That was on my ME tags too. We were there August 29-September 8. Can't answer your question but I can say that we got our luggage with no problems. Maybe it is some code for them. :confused3

I do wish it was me getting my tags though. I'm ready to go back already, but the kids aren't. It was to hot for their liking and they missed home.

Hey we're from TX and also going to be checking in at Pop on October 25th! :thumbsup2

How fun! We're going on the 25th too! Flying out at 7:03 am. You're probably not flying out of DFW if you are from S TX, though.

I see from your signature you are celebrating an adoption. Congratulations!

Thanks!! He's spent 48 months in Afghanistan in the last 8 years and we're hoping that he'll have more time home this time.

I'm actually headed to Rochester next month for a Neurology appt at Strong Memorial for my daughter. I love going there because I like to stop at the outlets in Waterloo on the way home ;).

I've never went to the outlets in Waterloo ... and I would never be able to convince DH to stop on our way home to Phila!

Good luck at the appt -- Strong is a very good hospital.

I got my DME mail today! Yaaaaay!

Getting so excited

Great! :woohoo::woohoo:

Thanks!

:lmao: Out of the mouth of babes ... I so love this age! My DD was 7 the first time we went to WDW ... and it was wonderful seeing it thru her eyes. :)

Yes, this August (was there 8/17 to 8/22) was one of the hottest I can recall. We usually go a week later, but had to move up the date for my DD's BFF to come.

I would go back in a heartbeat too .... so when are WE going?? :goodvibes

If pop had a better pool I woud never stay anyplace else.

Baby steps, baby steps .... WHEN the frigs arrive (notice I say when, won't believe otherwise :)) slides might be coming .... in the next decade??? :)

Almost a month out till Pop!!!

:banana::banana:

I will be at Pop in 8 days!

I won't have internet or anyway to let you know if fridges are in the rooms until I return on Oct.14th.

Spending the night there and back in Seattle.

Be sure to ask a housekeeping manager as they know the real scoop.:thumbsup2

Thanks!:flower3:

My thought on this would be a retro 50's one with a soda pull to make sodas, tall chairs to sit and be comfortable. I would locate it over by the Hippy Dippy pool so if the kids get dirty they can jump in the pool to clean off! (although , it might make a problem to keep the water clean.) Still, it would be fun!:surfweb:

LOVE it!! This is a GREAT idea ... 50s theming, it would be our Soda POP Fountain!!:banana:

 If you booked a std room location there are still lots of possibilities of 1st floor 60's rooms which are still close to the food court, bus etc. ( might want to check out the map we have on the first page).

As other posters have suggested, please talk with the CM at check in and let them know why the location would be helpful - if POP is not sold out they will do their best to find the right room...if the CM is not helpful, nicely ask for s front desk supervisor or manager and explain the situation. :thumbsup2

Does your grandmother have a medical reason for needing a first floor room? POP does have easy access elevators, so stairs would not be an issue. 4th floor rooms tend to be the quietest because there is no one above you - which might be nice for your grandmother.

If your grandma does have any medical need, please be sure to call the reservations number and ask them to add special needs medical to your reservation - if they give you a hard time or say it cannot be done, please PM me and I will give you a direct number.:goodvibes

Have a wonderful trip!!!:goodvibes

Thanks for the heads up. The main thing I was trying to avoid was stairs...she isn't a fan of elevators and she fell the other day and hurt her leg so stairs will be an issue for at least a little while. I know she would use the elevator if it came down to it but she is older and set in her ways! LOL!! Regardless to what room we get I know we will have a great time and it has been so much fun to see her so excited!

We leave in 6 days and I can't wait!!

I have a question about ME...we don't arrive until after 10pm. I know I can either pick up our bags or still have the ME staff pick them up but will they deliver them to the room that night or in the morning? We plan on having them pick them up still because DH and I will be juggling two very tired little girls but just need to see what we will need to pack in the carry on for the next day if they won't be there! Thanks!!

We're staying at Pop for the first time December 16 for a week and I've been reading that breakfast is crazy at Everything Pop. We are rope drop people and would like to grab breakfast early, (I'd run and grab breakfast while DH and DS get ready) probably around 7AM, is it super busy then, too???:confused3

It's not too bad at 7AM. It gets crazy busy by 7:45 until about 9:15.

Great thread. Spent most of the day reading through everything. I will be staying at POP for the 1st time in 4 days. I am hoping its as great as everyone thinks it is! We had a really bad experience at ASMu family suites, and my husband said he would never stay at a value again. I am hoping my stay on my girls only trip will be great and I can change his mind for our next trip with the kids. I am hoping someone can tell me if the hair dryers will be good enough for me to use on my short hair. I only use one for like 2-3 min. I know folks here said they were weak. Thanks!

Actually we normally always fly out of DFW but found a better deal out of Austin this time. We always drive up there because the flights out of Corpus are typically 200-300 more a seat
