Pools on Magic - Are they salty?

I've been on previous cruises and I was wondering if all the pools on the Magic or Wonder use salt water for their pools. I've been with Carnival, RCL and Norwegian cruises and went down one of the slides to get a mouthfull of salt water. Also the salt water really dries out your skin. If my DS (5) is in the pool alot I would like to know if the water is chlorine or salt water so we are prepared with extra lotions.

Most of the newer ships have freshwater pools.

Downside is, by the end of the day, Mickey's pool is positively YELLOW.

The pools use saltwater that has gone through a desailination process so the end result is fresh water!!! Same with the drinking water at the Deck 9 station....better than bottled water!!!
