Poly, Beach Club, or Contemporary? Which would YOU choose? :)

I do indeed see your dilemma! What about Nov. or Dec. for your trip? When last we went it was after they had decorated Disney for Christmas but before the Christmas holiday. Going for your 30th would be a blast! I wanted to go for my 40th, but it is right around the corner and we just can't swing Disney until next year after I'm 41 lol.
Weird how things line up sometimes... I said we won't be going back until after my 41st. We're going back for my 41 instead! All because of a bunch of love bugs. lol. Sending pixie dust your way at @Princess Jes and hope you get there sooner than expected as well! :tinker:

@BrerRabbit1114 we stayed at POP Century one night when the kids were younger, and the CMs were really nice. :) The bus was rough w/ my wheelchair though, so we're trying to stay closer in. We've never seen Wishes before, and I'm pretty stoked about it! Also monorail and boat are usually much easier with wheels. :sail:

I hope All Star Sports is nice for you and your girlfriend! :D Which parks are your faves? Which parks are her faves?

It won't be sooner than expected, it's just locking in when in sept/oct 2016.
I've just seen that MNSSHP isn't starting till mid sept this year so that will mist likely have an affect on when we go next year. So most likely sept 18-sept 25 2016, then 25 sept-28 sept at universal and 28 sept- 2 oct vegas

Well, it sounds like it will be the trip of a lifetime when you do get it all sorted! Where will you stay in Vegas? I was there this past Dec. and it is my 2nd favorite vacation destination!

Oh our trip of a lifetime was our honeymoon last year:
3N universal @ RPR
6N YC
4N New Orleans for WrestleMania 30
5N NYC @ Row NYC (Broadway/Times Square area)
3N Las Vegas @ Planet Hollywood.

We aren't sure yet, it's so far away.
We are traveling with friends and staying in the same room at WDW, not sure about universal and vegas.
If we stay together in vegas, it might be somewhere nice like Aria or Wynn? Otherwise, I'm happy to go back to PH because it's cheap, clean, the rooms are huge and the miracle mile shops are great. The pool sucks badly though, so will pay resort fees at another hotel to use their pool. Resort hop each day maybe!!
Universal will be RPR again. Cheap and closest to IOA for early entry to WWoHP.
Where did you stay in vegas?

Planet Hollywood is where I stayed as well, I got a free upgrade as a surprise, the bed was cloud soft, everyone was so nice, I still dream of that bathtub...lol. Every single thing was just delightful! I will go back there from now on. :lovestruc

That's my thoughts exactly!
We didn't use the bath, our toilet had a foul stench, like the water was smelly or something and it kind of stunk out the whole bathroom area. But that bathroom! Wow! So big! The room was so big and comfortable. We loved it, just a shame about the smelly bathroom. We should have complained but couldn't be bothered.
The hotel is great. In the morning we were awake so early after spending 2 and a half weeks on the easy coast, we were on their time so we woke up around 6-7am every day. So if one of us woke up before the other, we'd get dressed and go down the the casino. I got breakfast and coffee 2 mornings and used the wifi and hubby went and played poker another morning. We walked the strip In the AM before the heat kicked in and just floated about. We plan on doing more this time!

yacht and beach clubs are our favorite. However last year the kids wanted to try the Poly, then after booking we found out about the remodeling, so went to change- only thing available (beyond crazy expensive suites) was the Grand Floridian. While I still prefer YBC- your statement about night owls makes me think of the GF. I am as well (usually sleep 2am-8am and in the office by 9) YBC really winds down around 9-10...after Illuminations...then the pool closes at 10 (in the summer when we are there) lounges open till about 11....At the GF- one pool is 24 hours, the lunge was open later and Gasparillas Grill was open 24 hours alcohol sales stopped at 2am and menu became limited to flatbreads at 11 or so) But the overall resort felt more lively later in the evening

@partigus oh my goodness a 24 hour pool sounds incredible! We're not so worried about nightlife. Generally when we stay at a hotel we just bring a drink up to the room and hang out with the kids. Your time at the Grand Floridian sounds fantastic! I don't know the first thing about that resort- but will go do some research. I think we'll still choose Poly as they are raising the bar for accessibility but I will look into GF as well. Thank you so much for your perspective and tips! :flower3:

Great thing about being at a monorail resort like Poly is you just need to jump on the monorail and check out what the other two resorts( GF and CR) have to offer in terms of restaurants etc. When we stay at any monorail resort we feel like we are actually staying at all three monorail resorts in a kind of way. Can,t go wrong with any monorail resort IMO. We love them all.I personally find something special about the monorail. Not just transportation to us. It is nice to only have to take buses to AK and DHS parks.Buses just remind me of everyday life. The Monorail takes me away to something not found in the everyday life. Have a great trip.

Busses make me want to cry and hide. lol. That is a personal problem ;) people are often a bit grumpy about those in wheelchairs taking forever for the lifts :( , wheels being buckled, etc.

The boats are lovely! :D I adore the monorail and CAN'T wait to be in a monorail resort!!! :hyper: Sooooo, the 24 hour pool is one of the coolest things I've ever seen! The rooms are quite pretty at GF as well from the pics.

Poly seems a lil' more themed in some respects, and I really like the modern south seas sort of feel to it. Of course, I've never stayed there, spent a grand total of 5 minutes in the lobby almost five years ago. lol.

@ParkHoppers which resort is your favorite? :flower3:

I wouldn,t say I have a favorite but the three monorail resorts and Wilderness Lodge are the ones I like the best. I am a sucker for MK so being close to that is top priority for now. I hope to at least try to stay at all the DVC resorts in the future at some point. We own at BLT and in the process of buying into VWL. Glad Poly now has DVC so that is an option for us going forward.

All Star Sports is going to be really nice for us! My favorite parks are the Magic Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios. My girlfriend hasn't been to WDW since she was 5, and she is 20 now. She is really looking forward to the Magic Kingdom, and we are both really excited to explore all the countries in EPCOT!

Hands down Contemporary. I have interest in staying in the Poly too but not with the construction going on. =)

I just booked the Poly for July 2016, I'm going to turn 41 there :scared:;) , and my ticker is finally correct!!! *excited* :hyper:
