PO or AKL for Xmas Decorations

We are staying for 6 days, Thinking money wise PO but my son wants AKL. How are the decorations for each during early Dec? Will I have bus problems @ PO? Will AKL be to crowded because of all the upgrades with CBR closing? Thank you.

I think you'll find the decorations at AKL to be more spectacular. When you stay at a moderate, the decorations are primarily in the check-in area. You may or may not be returning to this area during your stay. If you are in a deluxe, you pass through the heavily decorated lobby constantly. The soaring ceilings in the lobby also make for a more spectacular display.

You should not have any bus problems at PO. Bus transporation at all the WDW resorts is basically the same. You usually get fine service but occasionally will hit a snag that may make for a long trip. Traveling from resort-to-resort is also time consuming on Disney Transporation.

I wouldn't expect AKL to be particularly crowded because of the CBR closing. With CBR down for rehab, more folks could be turning to PO. However, I've been at the resorts for the super busy Christmas week and I never feel like there are "crowds" at the resort, even when it is fully booked.
