Planning for the Holidays

Hey everybody,

I'm trying to plan something for the holidays with my girlfriend and what I really wanted to find out is if Disney World offers any fireworks show for Christmas or New Years, specifically New Year's. Last year, we didn't do much besides watch the ball drop at home on tv, so this year I want us to be a part of the action as opposed to watching it on screen.

Does anyone know if Disney World/Downtown Disney offers any fireworks show for New Year's?

Three of the four parks have NYE fireworks--only AK does not. DTD does not either. This is about the busiest day of the entire year.

there are no fireworks at downtown disney or ak.all other parks have fireworks on nye.BUT be aware that day IS the BUSIEST of the year at mk and epcot and mk may be closed to capacity most of the day.also traffic leaving the parks after midnight is a NIGHTMARE.

It would be an awesome place to go for New Years but it will be extremely crowded.

Thanks everybody! I figured it'd be crowded but I may be underestimating the sheer volume of people. Either way, I think it would be a fun experience to say we've gone through.
