subject Will be in DL Sunday 5-27 early to snag the Fantasmic tickets(I hope) and then want to make the best use of time before the crowds hit. Since Indy is new since I last went, I want to start there and then move on.How about a good plan for a couple of middle aged fans? Thanks!

I usually go to DL early on Sundays and it's the best time to go. If you're there early and looking forward to Indy, go straight there and ride it. Then, if you want to go again and the line is still short, Go For It! Then I'd walk over to something like Splash Mountain and grab a Fast Pass for later (when it's warmer). Lines at Space Mountain and Big Thunder tend to be short until 11:00ish. Small World usually isn't much of a wait until closer to noon. Just remember use the Fast Passes to help your day move along. Also, if you want a great lunch or dinner stop by Blue Bayou right after your first ride on Indy for a reservation. Good luck and have fun!
