Pin Displays

We have 4 sets of pins (mine, my wife's, my daughter's, & my son's) that we have collected via trading/purchasing and we are in desperate need of a way to display them. Any ideas? Attach Picts if you have them. Thanks!

I get display cases at Michael's Craft Stores when they go on sale for half-price (which seems like it is every other week...).

I square ones are just the right size to put a whole set of Hidden Mickey Lanyard pins in.

For my other pins, I use the next size up which is rectangular.

I like the black frames but I am sure that you can paint them to suit your tastes.

Do a search on this forum, you'll get a few hits for displays and how people put their pins up. We mostly use corkboards and stick the pins in them, you can cover the cork with fabric if you want it to look nicer but cork works just fine. Some of our sets are framed in regular frames with colored paper for the background. In the kitchen we have food themed pins on a corkboard/whiteboard combo, in the kids Disney themed bathroom I have a really cute Nemo cross stitch with Nemo pins around it in a frame and in the hall is my favorite, this is a silhouette of my girls done at DLR, framed with silhouette pins :)

Here is what I did with mine

I just got a basic (large) cork board and I display them all on that. It's good because you can take them down and look at them and place them elsewhere on the board or add more without hassle. A friend of mine has four, one for each of the parks with a park map stuck on and pins in the places she got them.

I too use a cork board because it is easy and I can move it around when I want to no hassle. My DM has attached her's to a metal paper filer which has small holes that are big enough for the back of the pin to fit through with out falling out. My DD has a pin bag but then you have to open it to see them not my favorite option.

I have some of my pins on corkboards. Can't put them all up because I don't have enough walls in my house.
I bought the inexpensive cork boards at Walmart and painted the cork to go with the pins I wanted to hang.
My Figment pins are on Purple with a light pink background, my Patriotic pins are on a flag, Micky is on plain black.

I LOVE this. I have one of the silhouettes of my daughter done on our very first trip in 2002. She was 2 years old. She is 13 now. I still have it hanging in my house. What a great idea. You have inspired me :thumbsup2

Thanks, it's one of my favorite things :)

Pixiewings, that is amazing. Although simple, it comes off as a bold statement. I love the fact that this picture and frame are timeless. Well done. I have a custom picture drawn by a Disney artist of Stitch that I plan on doing something similar with.
