Flooring project from this weekend (almost finished!):

Tiles were salvaged from the house I grew up in before it was demolished last year (they are 40+ years old)...as was the hardwood flooring next to it that we installed last year.

I took a few shots tonight of the doggies eating their favorite summer treat, watermelon.

First "two"---before and after.

The second "two"---the happy puppies after eating a half watermelon in about 5 minutes.

set two. the actual horses pulling the sled. i wanted to get the impression of the power and energy of these horses. this is the larger weight class and we left when the sled was loaded with 9000 lbs..they were barely exerting themselves. the teams weighed around 5000 lbs or so combined...
first one is just allowing the motion to blur

all of the above were with my tamron 17-50, the first one and last 2 with my monopod. second one i hoped no one shook the fence i was leaning against ;)

I took my best friend to Wildwood Lake Sanctuary for her birthday. We spent the day walking, talking and enjoying the wildlife. These shots are of her when I purposing lagged behind to get the shots without her knowing I was taking them. Taken with my 70-300mm 4-5.6 @ ISO 400.

Hi stitch, thanks for participating in the assignment and posting your pictures.

Sometimes here we just sit back and enjoy everyone's pictures in a lighthearted kind of way. If someone asks for advice or criticism, people are generally helpful. I don't think you specifically asked for advice until now, but I'm sure you'll get some responses. (I can't help, unfortunately, it's something I'm working on myself.)

The first just looks underexposed. You'll likely need manual controls to extend the exposure time and the cam will have to be on a tripod.

The second one is underexposed and also out of focus if you were focusing on the lawn light(I think that's what it is). Cameras have a tough time focusing in low light so you may be at the mercy of your camera unless you camera has manual focus ability.

oh ok well i used a tripod over the weekend and will post some pics from the weekend later. Also when it is underexposed does it mean I need to adjust the aperture or the shutter mode? but thxs everyone sorry if it sounded harsh I just reread my comment and I am like oh geez I didnt mean to sound that mean sorry about that?
