Paying with gift cards?

Not sure this is the right place for this but....

I received as a gift 2 $100 amex gift cards. I decided this would be a great way to pay for little things on our trip, water, soda, ice cream bar, etc. Do you think they will be accepted?

We put the bulk of our vacation funds on a Mastercard gift card on our last trip and had no issues anywhere. Great way to travel!
