I love that show only I want to go there so I can slap Chumley in the head.

Poor guy gets such a bum rap. However I'm with ya on that slap!

I love this show, too!
Sometimes the episodes sound a little too scripted, but not too bad. It certainly is fascinating to see all the interesting people and things that come into that store! We watch whenever we get a chance. DH always loves when there is some kind of cannon/gun/etc. and they just *have* to take it out in the desert and try it.

Those are my husbands favorite parts - blowing stuff up and the Dad seems to love guns and cannons!

I love that show; but don't you love the expression when you tell someone "I can't talk right now, Porn Stars is on". Or is that just a RI accent thing>

LI here we say it just like you - always good for a laugh when my mom calls and I tell her we're watching porn stars.

I love the show. The old man is my favorite.

He is my favorite too! Love his expressions ans dry wit.

I love it too. I love the "old man" the best but wished they would fire the young son. He has a big chip on his sholder.

The other three are great.

I'm hopping the son comes around a little his attitude bugs me sometimes but I'm guessing a little strife on the show makes for good TV.

DS & DDIL were over for dinner one night when it was on and we told them we were going to watch Pawn Stars. She thought we said porn stars. Couldn't understand why the in-laws wanted her to watch porn with them. We love her!

We have a trip to Las Vegas planned in January (before I started Dave Ramsey it was confirmed, paid for, and even though I know we should cancel it, I refuse to) and we plan on stopping by the pawn shop.

We have a Fenton vase that we found in a defaulted storage unit years ago. Beautiful vase, near mint conditon.

DH and I decided that since we don't want it (but didn't want to sell it for pennies either), that we would take it with us on our trip and pawn it at Pawn Stars. It is of no use to us, plus would provide us with a great vacation memory.



I think it would be a blast.

This trip is for our 15th wedding anniversary, and we are really looking forward to it! Plus, being able to visit a place that we watch on tv every week (we love that show as much as y'all do!) would be so fun!

Loved the episode with when they re-did the Old Man's car but they told him they sold it cheap. The son was having way too much fun getting him mad!

My favorite episode is the one where they buy that big glass wine decanter and Chumley makes homemade wine. He stomps on the grapes and then adds a few cups of Franzia boxed wine for good measure.

They can barely choke it down, but the old man says it's not too bad, he's had worse. I really like the main guy, Rick. He's so intelligent and fair.

It's a RI accent thing. Pawn Shop always sounds like Porn if someone from RI is saying it.

I get irritated watching it so I haven't watched more than a few episodes. I don't understand why anyone takes some of that stuff to a pawn shop when they could get a lot more for some of it elsewhere (like some of the collectibles).

My dh and I love that show.

I know this sounds horrible, but my favorite moments are ppl who are CONVINCED that their little oddball thing is worth a fortune, and one of the guys tells them its not or its a fake , and they almost have a toddler hissy fit in the store because they think the guys are totally wrong.
Hmmm...I THINK the guys would know their stuff.

The Chum-a-colada comes from the espisode where a buy sold them a hand blown decanter type thing. It had 4 chambers so you could put 4 different kinds of liquors in it. Chum filled all 4 chambers and when he poured it, all 4 types went into the cups. He called it a Chum-a-clada, lol

My DH is a huge fan. He also loves American Pickers.

The funny thing is that every time he turns it on and someone is here that hasn't seen it, they all have the same initial reaction when they see the title of the program pop up on the screen. They all think that he's watching porn stars!

Pawn Stars has become a favorite at my house. We love the historical trivia and the dyamics between the people on the show. American Pickers is good, but not as good as Pawn Stars! And I have to give my husband credit for finding it since I never watch stuff on the History Channel.

We where there a couple days ago. In this picture, you can see the younger son in the back. He was signing autographs and taking pictures. He left when we only had a few people left in front of us!

My kids are hooked on this show. Last week, on our vacation, we drove through an area with a ton of pawn shops and they BEGGED us to stop. We had to explain why no, we do not wish to stop in this area precisely because there are so many pawn shops.

i love this show and also American pickers, both great shows! My DS9 also loves the shows too!
