When parking at Port, How crowded is the lot? Better to be early or later, after the other debark is all out? Or are you not allowed in the lot till they are gone?

Do you do a luggage drop at the gate and then park? or just bring up luggage with us?

Thanks, MKY princess:

they do not open the lot until 10:00 A.M. Everyone debarking has to be off the ship by 9:00...so theoretically, the lot is pretty much empty by the time you get there (that is of course except for the cars belonging to people on the other ship!)

Yes, you do a luggage/passenger drop at the curb, then go back to the parking lot to park.

You didn't ask about this but a reminder is always nice -

There is an ant problem at port so make sure the interior of the car is free of food or you will have "company" for the trip home

Have a great cruise

we just got off a 7 day and our car was parked in the lot. Aware of the ant problem we placed ant traps on the floor of our van. Whether they were needed or not is unclear but we had no ants and despite our vehement pleadings to the leave no food in the car, there were a few stray fries from a happy meal under one of the seats:earseek: Wes.

There are plenty of spots..so don't worry.

The 7 day people get the closest parking..the 3 day people are a little further away. All close none the less.

If you are worried about ants, try and stay away from the "islands" with the palm trees. Not saying you are guarenteed(sp?) to get ants, but the fews times I've seen this they were relatively close to these.

Thanks so much for the help! We are "cruise novice"! Hope we don't get any ants, ick:eek: Rental car will only have for one day prior so will try to keep clean. :hyper:
