Inspired by another thread:

What is the significance of the "MEMBER" parking pass to put on you dashboard. If there are no differences in parking privileges or procedures between DVC members and non-member guests, why do they make the distinction on the pass?

:)

Members don't have to pay for valet parking (except to tip, of course).

Next trips: 12/01 BWV; 3/02 Grand Californian

There is no difference. All WDW resort guests have the same parking privileges. including no charge (other than tip) for valet parking at any resort.

It does open the gate for parking for pool hopping at several resorts...so there is a difference.

Actually the parking pass simply gets you into the parking lot and every WDW resort guest can do that subject to the same restrictions (such as the 3 hour rule at Cont.). Your room key identifying you as a DVC member staying at a DVC resort gets you to the pool.

When showing a MEMBER parking pass, I am waved through without stopping at OKW (where we stay) and at BW. But all other resorts stop us tp ask what we are doing before they wave us through. They still let us park (for pool hopping and such) but we still have to state why we are there.
