parking at port orleans riverside

hi,
i saw a picture of some of the hotel buildings at riverside and it looks like you can park your car right there. is that true? the last time we stayed was at grand floridian and we had to use valet. thanks

When we stayed at French Quarter in July '08 we parked almost right in front of our hotel room.

You can self park. Depending on the room and building, you may have a little bit of a walk.

Whenever we parked the car, it was never a long walk to the room. There were times we did park right in front of our door. For Dad it became a game to see if he could get a closer spot than the day before.

This is a good way to get a feel for the resorts. Go to http://maps.live.com/ and search for "Port Orleans Riverside Lake Buena Vista Florida." Click on "Birds Eye View" and you can really take a good look at the resort.

All depends on which building you are assigned to. Depending on your room location, you may have a bit of a stroll, or not. Never been an issue for us. There is a major parking lot in front of the main buildings,(some people have said they like to leave their vehicle there so they can throw their refillable drink cups in it before heading off to the parks on a bus, and then pick them up on their return. No having to go back to the room to get rid of them.) Parking is available all around the resort near each section, from each Mansion building to the AB buildings.
