We are going on the dream October 20-24 and now starting to book our on board activities. We are trying to decided between Palo and Remys. Anyone know the dress up night on a four night cruise? Anyone else sailing the same :cool1:time?:yay:

Remy. You can find an experience similar to Palo elsewhere, but a restaurant like Remy is very rare.

Also, because of the price, it should be easier to get a reservation for Remy than for Palo.

We are only dining at one for dinner so we can be with the kids the rest if the time, so we chose Palo brunch and Remy dinner. I would have loved to do both for dinner but didn't want to leave the kids too much. It was a hard choice but for the price Remy is a better deal and a more unique experience I think.

I would go to Remy. Palo was nothing special, but still a step up from the main dining room.

I'd vote Palo brunch for a 4 night. Remy for dinner if you must miss a MDR. We did Palo for dinner on our first cruise and recently on our tenth. Prefer brunch's food and views. We also like to stick with our dining team.

We prefer Palo brunch over the Palo dinner but on a 4-day cruise there's only one sea day, so only one Palo brunch, and reservations are very few and far between.

We've never had problems getting reservations for brunch and do it every cruise. You only have to know to go to the dining changes area listed on your navigator the first afternoon (usually around 1pm). They hold a chunk back for onboard booking. Even when booking cruises last minute this method has been successful for us.

While I wouldn't dismiss Palo quite so casually I do agree that Remy is a very rare experience. The OP may want to read this review of Remy Brunch and Dinner to help them decide.

Could not agree more. My wife and I had dinner at Remy last fall, and between the $75 a plate charge, the $99 wine pairing I got, the individual wine my wife ordered, and tip, we ended up well over $300 lighter by the end of the dinner and it was extremely well worth it. The service is impeccable (e.g., the waitstaff will escort you out of the restaurant to the bathrooms and provide a tiny stool for ladies to set their purses). The food is creative, divine, and unique.

Palo was also very nice, but not at all unique. If you have to choose one or the other, I would choose Remy every day of the week and twice on at sea days.

(Just kidding, I wouldn't choose it twice on at sea days - see the review posted above).

I agree with everyone. We had palo diner twice and Remy once. We LOOOOVED our Remy experience, and it's one of the best diner we've had, EVER! Palo is good, but it's nothing special compared to what you can have in another "sorta fancy" restaurant home.

We are cruising in a month and we booked Remy again, but we opted to skip palo diner this time. however, we are doing the Palo brunch, which in my opinion is better than the actual diner. We are also trying the Remy champagne brunch, which will be the first time for us!

enjoy! :)

Remy seems a lot like Victoria and Alberts at WDW Grand Floridian. I would have to go there if it was available on my cruise. Alas Palo is my option on the Wonder and while it isn't extremely different than a nicer restaurant in many cities it will be a nice treat for my birthday.

Remy!!! the food, the presentation, all amazing, I thought ten times better than Napa Rose at DCA

We went to Remy two weeks ago on the Fantasy and it was amazing. Best dinner by far that we have had. What a great experience. Great service and great food. If you don't like something tell them and they will bring you another dish to try. We are not "foodies" but generally eat at nice dinner places, Ruth's Chris, Mortons etc. We have also been to Club 33 and I would put this up there with Club 33. I really think Remy is not to be missed experience aboard the Fantasy.

We've dined at both (as well as brunch) & as much as we love Palo, dinner at Remy is an awesome experience. While it takes about 2 1/2 to 3 hours, time seems to fly by as each course is an adventure in fine dining. ::yes::

My sister and I dined at Remy last year and it was an amazing experience. We also got the wine pairing so dinner was $$$$ but well worth it. Had this been a restaurant on land it would've cost a lot more.
