We're heading there for a big family meal with a 3yr old, 9yr old and 11yr old. Any fun restaurants we could try (not including Rainforest Cafe, Planet Hollywood or Hardrock since we've been to these before)? Any advice on some fun places to eat or even fun things to do would be great. TIA! :thumbsup2

We love Zappi's Pizza on Stanley Ave. It's family friendly, reasonable, and there's a free PacMan game to help entertain the kids.

Hopefully Niagara Falls has improved and diversified a bit.

Years ago, we walked out of the Denny's in the hotel district because they were charging $18 for a Grand Slam breakfast. (We went across the street to McDonald's.)

We also found some good inexpensive Chinese food near the Youth Hostel.

Margaritaville! Great food, kids menu, stilt walkers that make balloons, fun atmosphere!

Boston pizza on Clifton Hill connects to an arcade and bowling alley. Dave and Busters is a cross the street but it is very expense. You will also have to pay to park around this area.

There is a space ship on Lundy's lane that some aliens left and someone turned into a restaurant- it is kind of cool and really cheap for breakfast

The food in Niagara falls overall is not great and is very expensive. The Cococabana (sp?) was good, very meat heavy, but quite pricey. There is supposed to be entertainment, but it hadn't started yet when we left at 6:30pm.

For just plain, reasonably priced food, we go to Betty's Restaurant. 8921 Sodom Road, Niagara Falls.
They do lots of differnent things (menu on their website)... but we love their fish and chips.

For things to do, our favourite was the Magic show. Greg Freewin. We went to the afternoon show, arrived about an 1/2 hour early and got great seats.

I grew up in the falls. There have been a lot of new places open over the years with the advent of the casinos. My fav place as a teen to hang out for a good meal was the flying saucer on Lundys Lane. I have already seen it mentioned in this thread but just wanted to second it. It is your typical greasy spoon but I have always enjoyed it.

Bettys is also good but a little out of the way.

I agree with the Boston Pizza on Clifton Hill, it's not overly priced and there's tons of stuff to do inside. If you use the parking lot on that side of the Hill, tell you're going there for dinner and parking is free. Saves $10.

Our family of 4 here in Niagara goes there a couple times of year.
