Our last one was not this high, but that was 10 years ago. However, $3,000/pp is too much for us for those ports. There are cheaper ones on other lines I'm looking into.

I did a quick search on Cruise Critic yesterday for early 2019. The price on Princess for a 15 night cruise for 2 adults was VERY high. I was surprised.

For a single you have to pay for 2 people. It would be the same price if it was 2 adults.

Okay! Phew! That was unnerving!

I priced Carnival and NCL last night. Carnival was about $1000 less and NCL was $500 less. But the rooms are tiny. For me the savings are not worth it. This was for an inside stateroom versus inside stateroom 14 nights.

It might have worked for us if the ports were better -- we've done half of them and aren't interested in the others. Maybe next time for the WBTA -- and then we don't lose so many hours along the way
