** OPENING DAY PRICING 2017 Pt 1 Jan/May: Magic, Wonder, Dream, Fantasy **

May 27, 2017 Fantasy Western Caribbean
2A 2C Cat 4b $7030.82
No transfers / insurance
I think it is crazy expensive, but we have never had a bad time on a Disney Cruise.....

I should say we sailed in Concierge Cat V on the same cruise in 2014 for $7600.00. Wow. That's inflation for you! (?????)

Wow all these prices are super expensive.. and I won't even start how expensive for Canadians in particular right now :(
We paid $3000 for 5b Jan 9th 2015 Fantasy (so similar cruise to Bella29 above)- also 2 adults, 1 child. It was a discounted rate, so I could see paying around $4000 for this cruise but $5000? For a family of 3? :sad2:

Cat. 5C
$5104.10 w/OBB

2A
Cat. 5C
$3342.70 w/OBB
No Ins., No Transfers

Very happy with these prices!

ETA: I went back to see what our price was when we booked the May 16, 2015 Fantasy. It was (in a 5B) $5708.88 without OBB.We eventually switched that out to the May 3, 2015 Magic (7 night) for about $100 less. So, very much on par with today's pricing for a non-peak cruise.

Cat 8A
2A 1K (1) $4369.74
*No insurance/transfers/air & No OBB discount

Now that's shocking.

I'd have to check to see what we paid for our 9B this past Easter week on the Fantasy, but I believe it was around $5,200+.

Now for for a pricing comparison, you could sail on the NCL Escape (new ship) in a HAVEN COURTYARD room (this is a full suite) the same week for $6,830 using my demographics. Also in this price, you get free drinks, free specialty dining, 250 minutes internet, and $50 shore excursion credit. The new NCL ships also have the water parks and other activities on deck.

Why are dream and Fantasy same price?

got thru at 845am.....OUTRAGEOUS.......:worried: :sad2: :sad1:

April 16, 2017 on Magic (7 night)
10A 2A $4904.88 ($2452.44pp)
10A 2A,1K(12) $6944.32 ($2039.44 for 3rd passenger....this is what I was quoted...even after I had the DCL agent double check..it seems too high to me)

I'm just confused because the 2 quotes for the 2 April sailings don't make sense when you compare them....how is the 3rd passenger on 4/9 sailing $1200- roughly 50% of what the 1st and 2nd passenger are paying ($2550) and yet on the 4/16 sailing, the 3rd passenger is $2040, roughly 83% of the 1st and 2nd passenger price ($2450)?? Unless I misheard him and he said the total cost of the triple cabin was 5944.32, not 6944.32....but the DCL agent repeated it twice and I repeated it back and then he added up the cabin and said it was just under $12000.

Even the Feb 17 sailing has the 3rd passenger at roughly 50% of the 1st and 2nd passengers.......

I'd LOVE to do that southern sailing- I've done it before on DCL and it is fabulous, but not for $12000. We have sailed DCL 17 times. We are sailing our first NCL in April, 2016, a 7 night cruise. For my family of 5, it's $3000. There is no justification for a cruise to be 4x the amount of another cruiseline.

I'd have to check to see what we paid for our 9B this past Easter week on the Fantasy, but I believe it was around $5,200+.

I was quoted $6,790.32 for 2A1C(14) for a 9C on 4/16/17 on the Magic. It was insanely expensive. My TA emailed me later that DCL had an incorrect 3rd person pricing and adjusted my total to $5,810.32. Even the adjusted price is very high, which is partially due to no 10% OBB discount. It comes out to $$277 pp/pn - more expensive than our 12-night Baltic this ($230 pp/pn in the same category stateroom). For comparison, we were on the Fantasy in a Cat 5C over Easter in 2014 and we only paid $5,021. Neither the 2015 Baltic or 2014 Easter sailing was not blacked out, so we did get a 10% off.
