I've been shamefully bad about updating this last week, but that doesn't mean I haven't been earning.

We had a bit of a situation come up this week...DD has ADHD and when we met with the teachers, they suggested we send her to school with a tablet or laptop or something which would be a big help for her. We hadn't anything particularly suitable at home but found a good price on a tablet with a keyboard and case...only trouble was, there was no room in the budget for the purpose and I had to clean out the vacation account to cover the purchase. The good news is that I can put that money back next month, so I'm going to keep the totals the same, even though not all of the money is actually there right at this moment.

I've also found a new source of revenue. A recent friendship has sprung up between a woman I know from church and myself and she is hard core about price matching and couponing. I confess I was never much for coupons but I thought I was pretty good about price matching but this lady is a GODDESS. She has taken me under her wing and my house has seen a dramatic rise in stockpiling this month under her tutelage. She's also turned me on to a new app snap by groupon, which is similar to checkout 51.

And finally...we did a bit of research on a London/Paris trip and now we are hooked and sooooooo interested in making that happen. It would still have to be a last minute thing...so not likely to happen cheaply, but the goal is to try for $4500 and see how far we can get!!

How is this the first time in October that I have updated?

I have dialed back a bit on the earnings these last couple of weeks. Pretty much only the automatic stuff has been what has earned me any money. I haven't even pulled up my survey sites for two weeks and as we cut back on the cash spending, the change jar has also been suffering. I've also decided to zero out my budget categories at month's end, instead of each week...so that means it doesn't build up on a daily/weekly basis the way it used to.

Having said that though...I have made some money over the last two weeks.
