Yay DHS day!! My favorite park!!! Sounds like you guys had a blast!! Sci Fi is so spectacular. I love it!! Sorry it was rainy, at least you found the umbrella.

Since you love Villans, have you seen all the new Villans stuff at the Disney Store/online? I love it. They went glam! Plus they have such great stuff with them in there classic looks. I personally want these ornaments! I am having a hard time wanting to spend $50 on them though! I did get this water bottle though! So fun! (Plus, you gotta love 2 for $16 deals on adult drinkware! )

Can't wait for Harry Potter stuff!!

So today was our Universal Day! I know Hollie was super excited. She just loves Universal. We got up bright and early. Here is my sweet girl all ready and waiting to leave

We arrived at Universal and of course, had to take some pictures outside the gate:

I went and got our tickets while they took some pictures around the front. We made it in!

The way Universal works, in case you don’t know. Most of the attractions open at specific times. We walked towards E.T. and it didn’t open until 10 am. So we headed towards Shrek 4-D.

Now, this is one of the funniest moments I have ever witnessed happened. I literally still cry when I think about this. From laughing of course! We get inside and it’s a 3-D show. We had our glasses and the little movie started. I am sitting on the inside, Hollie beside me, then Shelby, then my sister, then my mom. Now, this little show is funny. It has all the fun stuff of Shrek all through it. At one point in the little movie, it shows spiders. Well, the chairs you are sitting in are bouncing up and down like your in a horse drawn carriage. When it shows the spiders and they start crawling everywhere on screen…you can feel spiders around your feet. I think it is a shot of air they shoot our or it almost feels like a little piece of cloth that is shot towards your feet to give the sensation of crawling. Well, it came to the this part. Now mind you, Hollie has seen this before but I don’t think her feet were this far down. So, here come the spiders. I feel the part on my ankles like the spiders are crawling. Well….so does Hollie. She lets out a yelp, literally jumps 5 feet in the air with her long legs and somehow she ends up tucking them under her, and lands perfectly on her knees in the chair……as she throws her glasses in the floor. By this time I have tears going down my face. She thought it was that real and that spiders were crawling up her leg and she freaked!!! It was hilarious!!! She was so glad to get out of there!

Next we went and rode one of my favorites…E.T.! I just love it!

Afterwards, we headed towards the Woody Woodpecker roller coaster. Shelby rode it one time and she was done! So, I sat out with her while my sister rode with Hollie

Now, a little story. Hollie has rode this ride at least 2 times before. The last time she rode it, she got a little scared. She said she doesn’t like stopping in the shed. She said this time she wouldn’t get scared. I will let you be the judge of that by looking at the photos…

Next we headed towards Twister which is also another favorite of ours

Now after this, we had ridden other rides but I just didn’t take that many pictures. We decided to head on towards Islands of Adventure. That was one of the main reasons my mom planned this trip. She wanted to see all the Harry Potter stuff they had going on.

Oh I know and my husband was devastated!!! The last time we went down there, she refused to ride it with him. Well, she kept telling him, "I promise! The next time we are here, I will ride it with you daddo." Well...not anymore!! lol

I wish I had taken a picture of her face when we told her they were closing it. She looked like she was so mad and then she was saying, "Well, that is just ridiculous! We need to go down there before they close it!" Of course, we didn't make it down there.

So, we finally got on. This time Hollie closed her eyes when it came time for the dementors and spiders. lol My mom liked it, my sister liked it. Shelby wasn't tall enough to ride and did not like that! We decided to ride the Flight of the Hippogriff next

Now, after we finished riding FOTH, it was time to get a wand. The moment my mom was looking forward too. Here is sweet Hollie with the wand of her choosing and also her yummy butterbeer. Yum!!

We headed back to Suess Landing to do a few things there

Now after the girls rode the carousel, I saw something. Something enough to make me say something and my mom turn and look at me really fast to ask me what in the world!!

Now, something about this weekend that a lot of people might not know. It was the weekend of Spooky Empire. What is that you ask? Well, its a convention where celebrities are in Orlando. It's usually celebrities from horror movies. Well, I just happened to walk past a celebrity. We were walking back towards WWoHP and I saw him. Walk right past me! It was Tom Savini. I know some people might not know who he is. He happens to be one of the best special effects makeup artist out there. I saw him walk by, and I literally gasped a little. Not loud enough to where he heard me because that would be embarrassing. lol But my mom heard me and asked what was wrong. I told her and she looked at me like, who?? Too funny!

We went to look around WWoHP and as we were leaving, someone had stopped him to take a picture of them. So....I pulled the I'm-gonna-take-out-my-cell-and-act-like-Im-calling-someone-but-Im-really-taking-a-picture

So there you go! You might not know him, but it was still cool. Then we were walking past the train to Hogwart's and I spotted another celebrity. I didn't take a picture of him because he was posing with someone from Universal but I actually saw the picture on his website and here it is. Let's see if you know him

We had pretty much did all we were gonna do. My mom and I wanted to go to the Jurassic Park area, but my sister was tired. So, we went in a few stores and my mom got this cute picture

We headed towards the front of the park. Grabbed some yummy cinnamon rolls from Cinnabon and headed back to the hotel.

I am gonna post our photopass pictures next. Our trip was pretty much over. Nothing exciting happened next. We went back to the room, packed up the van with things we didn't need, everyone ate dinner, then we went to bed.


I do have a surprise though.....

We are actually going back in December. You may notice that by the ticker I just put up.

I am debating on doing a TR though. This one took me so long to actually finish. I think most of it was how much rain we had down there and the damper it kind of put on the trip. I wish that the first trip with my mom, Hollie, my sister, and my niece had been better. But, of course my mom is already planning the next trip we take. It will have to be when my new niece is a older since she is only 2 weeks old.

I won't type up anything with the photopass pictures. They will speak for themselves. Sorry I neglected this TR. Hopefully if I do another TR, it will be taken better care of. lol

I did not know the make-up man, but I do know who Butch Patrick is. I would not have recognized him on my own, but when told who he was, I would have said an 'Oh, yeah, it is, isn't it?'

I enjoyed seeing your pictures. It really doesn't matter how long it takes for a report to get done. I just enjoy seeing pictures of my DIS friends having fun whenever.

I sure know what you mean about the rain. It wears on you after several days of getting in and out of ponchos, racing into gift shops when it starts to pour, etc. Luckily, in all the trips we have taken, we have only had this last one when the rain just wouldn't quit. Usually it's just the normal Florida afternoon rain, or maybe one day of rain.

So glad you can have happy thoughts of a trip on the holiday horizon!
