Not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but here goes.

We will be staying at the Poly the night before our back to back Dream cruise   , and using the DCL bus to get to the cruise port.

We will also be using the DCL bus to get back to the resort after the cruise.

Is it ok to leave my vehicle at the Poly while I am on the cruise?

Driving the van to the port is not an option as the other 2 will be flying in and we are all meeting at the Poly. I have a scooter and my friend has an electric wheelchair. There is no way that the scooter, her chair and all of our luggage plus 3 people will fit in my small minivan.

Just looking for options.

Thanks!

I asked this same question of my TA, who is a DISer too....and the answer was yes. But I decided to get annual pass instead of the cruise. Why not call hotel and ask. :surfweb:

I would talk to the front desk because your parking permit would show your original check-out day. I don't know if they typically check those in the lot.

The Polynesian parking lot is one of the more 'abused' parking lots, so yes, they do check the permits. BUT...I would talk to them when you get there. Explain the situation. Perhaps they will allow you to leave your car in a more distant area of the lot. Or maybe even have you park it at the TTC. I'm sure they'll do something to help you out.

Absolutely call the resort directly - and make sure you don't get a call center, you need to actually speak to someone there.

Last year we had the same question about leaving our car at OKW while we cruised. Our friends were flying down and we were going to share a van to get to the port. OKW told us what we would need to do, including checking with security, but that it wouldn't be an issue. Our friends plans changed and we ended up driving our own car to the port, but it was nice to know that we could have been accommodated.

The general rule is you lose the right to park in a hotel lot the day you check out. Hotels near airports and cruise ports have special packages which let you park while you're on vacation. The cost is generally more then the cheapest price you could book a hotel but sometimes less then what parking alone would be at the airport.

This is kind of an exception. I'd be shocked if Disney didn't accommodate you. I agree with the PP. Disney might want you parking someplace other then the main self-service lot at the POLY.

I don't think there is anyway to call the front desk directly. When the CM answers the phone ask if your call can be transferred to a hotel manager.
