One would think that I would know what's in my carry on bag...and what shouldn't be in there. Sadly, not the case. I had just a carry on bag for my short trip to Scotland last weekend. Took the train up from London, but flew Ryanair back...that's a whole story in itself!!! I got to security at Edinburgh Intl. But, as I watched everyone else's bags go through, mine got put on a different belt. I watched as security people walked over to those 'different bags', grab one, hold it up and the owner then stepped forward to the counter. Well....I waited 15 mins until mine came up. The agent asked me if I had anything sharp in my bag. 'No, nothing sharp in there when I packed a few hours ago' was my response. As he opened my bag, pulled out a gallon zip-loc bag, and withdrew a regular pair of scissors, I wanted to crawl away!!!! He smiled at me and asked if I knew how those had gotten into my sealed baggie!!! They were in the baggie that I normally have in my checked luggage, with powder and such in it! Completely forgot the scissors in there!!!! So, Edinburgh has my scissors, I have my embarrassment!!!!
Even those well versed in travel can make mistakes!!! I stood there, thinking about all those posters who jump all over people when they make a simple mistake!!! Yep, that was me that morning! Stupid me!!!
