I did not see a major thread for collections involving memorabilia resort and park collections. Things as refillable mugs, brochures , key cards, etc. Figured I would go ahead and make a thread where we collectors who collect these things can post pics, and generally discuss what we have gotten and are planning on grabbing on Ebay. Maybe even post good sellers on Ebay!

Im big on resort-specific memorabilia at the moment.

Lets get this started !:surfweb:

What do they look like? We've stayed at the lodge twice and I have been know to leave space in the suitcase for napkins and coasters. Your stash sounds interesting. Do you have pics?

I've got a cuboard full of refillable mugs, several popcorn buckets, bags and boxes from the gift shops, those big plastic souvenier gift shop bags, probably every ticket and room key that I've ever had, I always grab a set of park guides.

This has got me excited, I'm going to get some things together and take pics tonight.

These were the little boxes they give you ladybugs in when you do a Ladybug release.

These are some of my napkins/coasters/paper cups. We don't get these as much since we mostly fly these days. No extra room to bring junk home. There is also the frisbee that a kids meal comes in at Sci-Fi and a Pluto candy mold and Mickey head mini-pizza pans that were supposedly used at the parks (bought on ebay),

Defintely my favorite, but I never thought to take a picture, were actually these freebies

we were lucky enough to get the sculpted Japanese candy twice from Miyuki. Once she made me a zebra and another time she made my daughter a dancing penguin. I probably had the zebra a good ten years and the penguin over 5. I kept them in the refridgerator, but just about a year ago, some knocked them out and the zebras head came off. The penguin was kind of mis-shapened when we got him home because he spent several days in the car in the Florida heat. We saved him anyway because my daughter loved it so.

On the same lines, I got to meet Andy Mation at the art store at Hollywood studios. He spent a good 15 minutes or so, enchanting us with great trivia tidbits and stories while he made me a Pluto balloon animal. It was fantastic. We sought him out several years later on the 1st trip back after my dad passed away and he made me a Goofy (which was my father's) favorite. Neither lasted too many weeks after getting home, but I still have the deflated balloons and will always have the special memories.

My daughter has a T-shirt, straw hat, and Minnie Mouse sleeping bag from the night she spent sleeping with the sea creatures at EPCOT. It must have been about 20 years ago. We dropped her off at EPCOT and they gave us a pager (cell phones were not common then) so they could contact us in case of emergency. The kids got escorted to a private viewing of Illuminations, had snacks and activities after the park closed in the Living Seas pavillion, and then were given sleeping bags and slept in the corridor between the big tanks. In the AM they ate as a group at the Land character breakfast. I remember the t-shirt said "I went NUTS "Night Under The Sea" at EPCOT". It was just over $100 and they got to keep the sleeping bag, t-shirt, straw hat, and the had a polaroid picture taken at b'fast with characters.

Great pics!!

I was thinking of getting a CBR Bedspread on Ebay , are they worth it ? The resort spreads.. ? :D

I was a little apprehensive about buying a used spread, but when I got mine it was like new and they are very heavy duty. I was fortunate to find a large piece of matching material that I plan to make some accent pieces with (window treatment, pillows, etc). The only problem I have is that I have to take it to the laundramat to wash because my washing machine won't aggitate properly because the spread is too packed in. If you have one of the bigger machines it shouldn't be a problem.

Here's some glassware from the parks - Liberty Tree Tavern, Hoop de Doo, King Stephan's, Polynesian, Food & Wine (plastic)

Almost forgot this one - you used to be able to get a free personalized drawing by a Disney animator in the building where the princesses & Mickey M&G is now. This one was by legendary Harry Holt. The majority of the drawing was mass produced, but the animator would draw in a few extras here & there and then personalize it for you.

Here are some "toothpicks"

Before I start getting someone in a tizzy, let me say I'm not a thief. Any items I returned home with were either giveaways, purchased or got on ebay. I was a Disney Store CM for 8 yrs and frequented Cast Connection at every opportunity. My daughter also spent 2 semesters on the college program which gave me an additional year of insider purchasing. Even the toilet paper was a housekeeping gift to my mom during her 1st stay at her favorite hotel, Port Orleans. When my DH designed his monochrome 1/2 bath, mom decided the TP belonged there. :)

LuvClarice,
Hello, I would like to know if your touch lamp is disney? if so, I need them too. I have 3 touch lamps in my livingroom and would like to replace the glass with alittle disney. sandy

Clarice, those are amazing collection pieces ! Love the customized drawing , so lucky to have that !

I am posting mine tonight.

Waltdavinci - Can't wait to see some of yours!

SandyPA - yes, the touch lamps are Disney, but I can't tell you if they are officially licensed. My BIL bought them for me for Christmas a few years ago from a local gift shop. My opinion is that they are not, but I love them anyway.

Kathy

Love all the pictures, my DS age 8 has a bedspread that I bought on ebay from Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is one from the bunk beds. I was so surprised, it was listed as new and I was skeptical but bought it anyway. We got it and it indeed was brand new, crispy feeling even.
If I can get his room cleaned up a bit I will post a picture.
Please keep the pictures coming everyone!
They are awesome!
