Morning Folks,
We had a terrific time last night..
We saw The Lion King and as usual....I have a story.
In the planning stages for this trip, John and I considered trying to get tickets to see a different show, as we have seen The Lion King a couple of times.
In my research, I asked about the size of the seats in these theaters. I find Broadway theater seats to be incredibly uncomfortable and these theaters are even older.
I was told that these are old Victorian theaters and the seats are very narrow...so we ended up not getting any different tickets. In light of this info, I spoke with our guides and expressed my concern that John and I would not only be miserable for the length of the show, but would make whoever sat next to us miserable as well.
We were told that there were a couple of box seats available and those were just regular banquet chairs and that we could sit there. We asked Matt to join us as he's very tall as well. Terrific, we have a plan.
As everyone was given their tickets earlier in the day, we had to wait at the box office to have our new tickets issues, so we were seated a couple of minutes after the rest of our group.
Being silly Disers (like we are).... As the three of us took our seats in our box, and being visible to the entire audience, the rest of our
ABD group started applauding. Apparently, this alerted the rest of the audience to the fact that there might be someone "famous" in the box seats.
For the next several minutes it seemed everyone in the audience took a flash photograph of Matt, John and I.
We are fairly sure that there are many theatergoers looking at their photos this morning and thinking.....who are these people?
We have another busy day ahead.
We have breakfast, a our of London to St Paul's, the Tower of London and then our UK meet this afternoon.
After that, many of us are going to a Gordon Ramsey restaurant for dinner and then back to the hotel to pack for tomorrow we head to PARIS.
That's it for now.
More later.
