The Grand Floridian pastry team created an AMAZING wedding cake for this week's guest on my podcast, and I thought you guys might like to see it! Only the pin cushion on the bottom is cake. The bride provided the Lenox mice and the pastry team dreamed up the rest.

The bride also had a small cake made for her mom that might be inspirational for those of us who don't need a ginormous cake...

has anyone done a Tsum Tsum cake? We will be celebrating my DD 10th bday with an illuminations cruise. She is currently obsessed with Tsum Tsums and was thinking about a mini cake or something small with that theme. There are 7 of us.

I was wondering if the "celebrate today" cake can be personalized if you order when you arrive at the restaurant. Is this cake offered in EPCOT at the San Angel? Does anyone know the cost? Thanks.

Usually they can only write on the plate because the cake is so small. San Angel Inn uses an outside vendor for its cakes, but what they offer is very similar to the cake you can ask for at the Disney restaurants. It's $23 plus tax.

Can wait we will need a graduation and a birthday cake while when we go. Last time i ordered my daughter a bday cake and it was awesome

I would love some cake ideas! We will celebrate DD's 10th bday at 1900 Park Fare brunch with Alice & Hatter, Mary Poppins, etc. I was thinking about an 8in cake (there are 7 of us) and having it decorated with "eat me" like in Alice in Wonderland. Thought it might lead to fun character interactions. Any thoughts on how I could jazz it up a bit? Or something else fun? I could also do a mini cake for her (to share with her sister of course!) but not sure what I would do.

There are some great examples of mad hatter cakes in the gallery - love the idea of adding the "eat me" to it!!

I recently had an Alice in Wonderland themed mad hatter cake made by the Grand Floridian bakery in May for my birthday and it was the most amazing cake I've ever had from Disney. I was completely blown away by how creative the bakery was with their design. It was a surprise for me from my parents. All my dad said to Pat was that he wanted an Alice in Wonderland theme and to make it very colorful and whimsical. And that he wanted bright blue fondant covering the cake. Sorry I don't have any photos!

I've had another Alice in Wonderland themed mad hatter cake years ago from the Grand Floridian and it was just as creative as my most recent cake. And again my dad just asked Pat for an Alice in Wonderland cake that's very colorful and whimsical.

For both cakes, he never provided a design and just let the Grand Floridian do the design. They are extremely creative when it comes to Alice in Wonderland themed cakes!!! :)

this is great to know! Much less pressure for me to figure out something!

I would like to order a cake to be delivered to our room to surprise my kids. Do we have to be there for them to deliver it? Or can they put in room so there when we get back from parks? We are staying club level at WL.

It can be delivered to your room without anyone there once you check in... It can't be in the room prior to your arrival (due to possible room changes)

Hello! I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with ordering a cake at San Angel Inn in Epcot? I'm seeing that it's not serviced through Disney, so I'm debating having a cake ordered there or delivered to our room at Beach Club for my husband's birthday. I can't seem to find any reviews or pics or info for any cakes ordered in Epcot.

Hello all! I have scanned the thread, and I am not seeing it, so I thought I would ask. Can someone please tell me where Chef Brian is currently working? We haven't been to Disney in over 2 years, but I have gotten a coup, ever amazing cakes from him in the past. I want to do a cake for our upcoming trip, and want to order from him.

Chef Brian is at the Contemporary.

So, has anyone tried contacting the Contemporary by the email address? How long does it take to get a response or do you need to call also?
