We booked our 2nd Christmas trip for 12/12-12/17. We went last year in mid Nov and the Christmas decs were JUST starting to be put out. We were there for MVMCP and loved it and I'm looking forward to going back when it will feel more like Christmas!! We're staying at CBR.

Thankfully, having been born and bred on the Gulf Coast and currently residing in southern Mississippi, we are very accustomed to the bipolar weather and the excessive heat during the holidays. It just poses an issue with knowing what to pack!!

We changed our resort reservations again. Lol. We are now staying at POP. Dates are still 12/10-12/17. This should be set in stone now!

This trip is a redo for me. I've only been once & I was pregnant with my dd. I had some morning sickness & also wasn't able to go on many rides. It will be dd(3)'s first trip. She's very much into princesses. Most rides scare her. It's my ds(6)'s 2nd trip but he was only 1 when we went for my sister's wedding. My DH has been a few times with his family. This will be our complete family's first vacation. I'm very excited!

My plans are a work in progress.

Nov 26th - Dec 3rd. 2 nights at SOG and 5 nights in a RR at POR. We went this week last year and it was great. We are a little worried about crowds though with FD being offered this week. Can't wait to get a Linzer cookie at the Contemporary gingerbread display(my fav of the resort treats from last year), see some more Epcot storytellers (my kids LOVED this) , drink the Caramel kiss in Germany, see Mickey and Minnie in their holiday outfits and AK and so on.

Hi, this is my very first post! I just discovered this forum a few days ago. My boyfriend and I have a Disney/Universal trip booked for December 2-10, December 2-7 at Disney and 7-10 at Universal. It will be my very first time (at 28) at Disney, and I have been researching for weeks!

I am so excited I can't stand it! Pumped to have stumbled onto these boards, I have already learned so much.

I don't have any specific questions at the moment, I have had most of them answered already just by stalking. Currently trying to narrow down restaurants for ADR's - there are so many to choose from, and reviews are so subjective! Just happy to be here though.

have you guys been there before during December? 2 Days at Universal that week is more than plenty to do everything twice. It is DEAD there. DW2B and I have been to both Disney/Universal that last 6 years at that time. If you haven't been to Disney before, I would consider shortening Universal to just 2 days.

When I started planning this I thought the logistics were going to be the most difficult part. It turns out that the thing I'm struggling with the most is hiding the inner excitement that we are going to DW!

I'm planning a sort of treasure hunt with clues and maps of our house/yard for the big reveal. I think I'm going to enjoy that as much as the actual trip.

Can you please record this and post on YouTube?? I LOVE when people do this!!!!

These forums have been so helpful. We are going to go on our first trip to Disney from December 14 - 20th and I can't hardly wait. We are doing the big reveal to our son this afternoon. It should be good.

I am beginning to do a little planning, and narrowing down my ADR wish list. Waiting on DH and DS to let me know if they want to do MVMCP or an evening at another park (most likely Epcot). Which depending on prices, I may make the decision for them.
