Official 2019 HHN-29 Thread

This will be the first HHN for my son and I (excited beyond belief). We will be staying at RPR and I did buy park tickets so we could be in the park for stay and scream. I got the ROF w/express passes. I thought I read somewhere that before you go to the holding area you have to get a wristband for the stay and scream before entering the holding area...is this true and if so where do we go to get them? Thanks so much! :)

They give you the wristband in the Stay and Scream area......they check your ticket is valid, then it`s on.

The HHN twitter account posted this cryptic tweet today:

That is interesting. When i saw it had wondered if it was an effort to fill up the rooms? Notice that when i search CB nearly always seems to have open rooms for most dates.

the scareactors are always happy to see fresh meat :). Enjoy!

If you are lucky & can grab a spot in finnegans, they will come round to your table to check tix & affix band on the spot. Those without HHH tix are shown the door.

Maddening each year to be standing in the pens and see day guests moseying on out of the park. If they are in line pre 5 pm, they get to ride. MIB seems to be the biggest issue. Park has to be cleared before the pens are emptied.

LOL! Thank keishashadow! expecting to have a blast. counting down the days now. Thanks for the tip on finnigans, I will try to make that happen. We have 6 days we get to attend. :yay:

Now that we know all the houses and scare zones what's everyones most anticipated list? Would be interesting to see what we all are the most excited for and if that actually translates once we experience it all.

I'll answer this first then

🤣

The original house I'm most looking forward to is Graveyard Games.

The IP house I'm most looking forward to is a tie between Stranger Things, House of 1000 Corpses and Universal Monsters.

The scarezone I'm looking forward to being in the most is probably Zombieland Double Tap.

I'm not staying at Cabana Bay this time but would be cool if they added in some Stranger Things theming somewhere in the hotel.

Last year I thought the original house’s blew the IPs out of the water, so I’m looking forward to the Yeti and Depths of Fear.

I refuse to enter House of 1000 Corpses. I don’t even want to talk about it.

I love me some Killer Klowns, so as far as IPs go, that’s my #1 most wanted.

I’m not all that jazzed about the scare zones this year. Maybe that’s a good thing though, I may be pleasantly surprised.

I'm actually really excited for all the original houses. I know what you mean about the scarezones but I'm hoping they just sound underwhelming and there'll be a few standouts.

Anyone have any info or personal experience with the Scareactor Dining and what they do with you after you eat?

I am thinking of making a 5pm reservation one of the nights I am going to HHN. I am pretty sure I will not need till 6 or 630 to eat (or maybe I would I do not know how long the meal takes with the scareactors going around).

Do you get escorted to a Stay and Scream area when you are done or do they keep you there until opening? I am debating between food (50 bucks is pretty good deal considering you get a picture) or getting a jump on the houses through S&S.

When I went, I finished just after the opened SnS. they did not announce that the park was opened, so if you're wanting to get a head start on houses keep that in mind.

All of those restaurants are open? How bad do the lines get? We're thinking of just eating in Springfield.

The lines for anything are never really bad. There are lots of choices, spread all over the park. The center park pop up tents can get kind of busy, but not really anywhere else.

Try the pizza fries though. Hunt them down. You haven’t gone to HHN if you don’t try the pizza fries.

ETA: some of these places are open later than others, check the times when you arrive.

the stay and scream areas are inside the park.
be in the park prior to 5:00

to enter the s&s sections, you wait in a line.
there are tm's to guide you to this line.

your hhn ticket is scanned and the tm puts a paper band on your wrist.
you only need this on while you are in the s&s holding pens.

Ask them not to make it snug as it is a devil to try to get them off later.....

I always remove mine once I leave the holding area to hit the houses.

SO chuffed on the map... we paid the extra $25PP for Stay and Scream and EPs. We're going Sept. 19th, because it's cheaper lol. I'll wait for definitive info after the event opens, but my initial plan is start from the Finnegan's holding area and do Ghostbusters first since that'll be a more popular one. Then Yeti, because growing up in SW Fla. in the 70s, the skunk ape (i.e., bigfoot/yeti, same thing, different ecosystem) was a serious childhood fear of mine.

Then do the scare zones on the way to House of 1K Corpses (really want to do this one) and Universal Monsters and Nightingales. After that Killer Klowns is my preferred.

My 15-year-old daughter tapped out this year and said she didn't want to go because reasons. So this will literally be the first time my boyfriend and I have taken a "fun" vacation together just the two of us.
