I'm thinking Irish Coffee this morning. Anyone care to join me?

Yeah, but please...no coffee, just the Irish part! :teeth:

I have been feeling a bit of anxiety over being "moved" as well. Do you think the entire board will slowly but surely be going to strictly trip planning/business? I imagine that's probably how it got started. Maybe the hope is that more business sponsors would be interested if some of the fluff was gone. Unfortunately, many of the members would be gone as well.

Kids finally went back to school yesterday. DD was extremely upset by the end of the day as none of her friends were in any of her classes. I was trying to be sympathetic, but was also thinking she'd probably do well this year without the distraction of the typical teenage giggling and note-passing. Don't know how long I can take the tears though -- better make my "modified" Irish Coffee a double !!!

lol Calypso - I bet you are right about her levels of concentration being MUCH better these days without so many friends around. However, I bet she will have made a bunch more by the end of the week!

mmmmmmmm coffee....especially flavored coffee - yummy! Jrnnt - no coffee :earseek: He wouldn't make it in my family!

GGRRRR CB - I wish there was some way we could get your back. I hate it when you just want to move on with your life (and you sound like such an upbeat, strong woman) and things like this keep dragging you down. Just hang out in the closet with us (here and on the other board as long as we can keep things going!) and we will help you through where we can!

*bleech* is that what is wrong with coffee at the world? Its nestle? (which is good for hot chocolate but still even the hot cocoa tastes bleeck to me - so what gives? lol)

Off to another Dr. appt soon. Baby Paula Jean is doing great...she is 5 pouinds 10 ounces as of today (34 weeks and 2 days - but will be delivered exactly at 39 weeks) and the cyst is doing what it should - not growing, maybe even a little shirnkage. So - one dr. appointment down (high risk - old woman and all that you know :earboy2: ) and another one in 30 minutes! *whew* and I haven't done a lick of work today :P

Laura

Hi all. Hope it doesn't come to thi, but I'm PoohsPal at *********** just in case.

I am going to go over there and sign in as well (maybe not til tomorrow though - I do have to work SOME today lol).

I hope tooneric finds his way here. I am worried about our Sec of Fun as well. I haven't seen left coaster since all this craziness started.

:( and I don't think Rash is in the mood to come and post here.

Is our "clique" dying? :guilty:

I wonder what it would take to shut down a thread on the CB in general? Now that we're here, it's an interesting question.

I'll be checking out *********** too, although I have to say, I'm not excited about starting over. I'll still be watching this too.

Starting over kind of stinks, but it'snot so hard when there are so many familiar faces there.

Hmmm, good point. I noticed that thread, but didn't realize that it's really just all weather.

Maybe they haven't been around long enough to make a good "clique".

I hang all over the boards but from what I can piece together, today's events are really community-busting. So...can I be part of the clique? Pretty please!

As a welcomed part time member of the "clique," I say yes :goodvibes Can you speak Nothing? If so, you'll fit in just fine :sunny: We don't have to let this thread die if we're all subscribed...

Sorry I missed out on the Irish Coffee, yum!!!! My DH prefers hot tea to coffee :earseek:

Yeah, that's the weird thing about our "clique" - everybody's welcome.

So pull up a chair, Carrie had the coffee last I checked.

Thanks for nothing... except the warm welcome. I truly have nothing to report this morning because no one's made the coffee at this ungodly hour as I am on the way to a doctor's appointment in downtown Philly - to check on ears that have been blocked for 4 weeks due to swimming in the wave pool at Dorney Park, rather than the much more ear-friendly one at TL.

That's what I get for slumming it! Nothing but earaches.

Ah, you poor thing. That's no fun. My son's getting tubes next week after 6 ear infections in 5 months. Ears are no fun. DOWN WITH EARS! or at least, ear problems.

I'd make you coffee, but, as I've said, we don't have any. It's a sad life I lead.

It's Friday, good people. I stopped at Starbuck's on the way into work... I have Cafe AuLait with a squirt of caramel for good measure. It's a venti... we can share! ;)

Asfor ears - boy do I feel for ya on that! We stopped at a hotel en route to WDW last year... I was so relieved that the hotel pool wasn't burn-your-nostril-hair-out rife with chlorine, the way so many are. In retrospect, as DS developed his very first case of swimmer's ear a day or two later -- I really was recanting that feeling! :(

Today's malady -- allergies. Ragweed is taking a wicked toll on 2 out of 3 kids. My son looks like he was in a WWWF fight last night and lost -- his left is is puffed beyond all reason and his poor ol' nose is running faster than Randy Moss.

Last night I baked 3-4 dozen cookies and decorated the suckers for a Hurricane Katrina bake sale at school. I have the odds and uglies left over here... chocolate chip and M&M. Help yourself, they go great with the Starbucks.... Yawn....

Yes and the drama of the ears (NOT the good kind) continues. I'm back from seeing the specialist, being suctioned, and sound tested, and now possess a 6-day course of steroids that might make me quesy and jittery, but might also prompt my eusthasian tube to start funcitoning properly, which would be very nice indeed.

And with still no coffee, I am sitting here with a nice cup of red herb tea from Africa; as you can see, I am already in strict training for our August 2006 stay at AKL.

Here, here to a good, solid whiff of cholorine and broken cookies!

I hope your kids feel better soon!
