Non-Universal Hotels Close to Universal?

Hi everyone,

Need a hotel for one night only right near Universal this December. Any recommendations on a place with a "suite" (basically just a room we can close off for the kids)?

I know I can just search for names, but I'd rather hear from folks with first-hand experience.

Drury inn & suites

Hyatt Place across the street is also a good one.

Holiday Inn Across from Universal - we've stayed there in the past and are staying there again on our upcoming trip this month. It's a basic hotel (no frills) with good pricing and within walking distance to Universal.

There are many good choices you can choose from
Drury inn has free shuttles
Too far to walk from there to the parks

Friends of our have recommended Doubletree Suites, and only heard good things about Drury Inn and Suites too.........

Doubletree I believe you can walk from and as mac says Drury Inn is not walkable from.
