Niagara Falls, Ontario

We went just last weekend. We also stayed in Ontario. Hornblower cruise is on the CA side of the falls. Also we purchased a groupon for Rainforest cafe at the Sheraton in U.S. I don't remember the expiration for that, but I believe it's still on groupon. Or you could purchase McCormick and Shmicks gift cards at Costco for $80 for $100 to use at Rainforest Cafe Canada side. Be warned though the Rainforest Cafe at the Sheraton on the U.S. side is not owned by Landry's, it is owned by the Sheraton. So I wouldn't try to combine and use both deals at the U.S. Rainforest cafe.
I wish we had time to go to Toronto, I hope you have a great trip!
Thanks for all of the info.

We are spending 3 nights in Niagara Falls and one night in Toronto. We are at the Sheraton in NF and the Westin in Toronto..all booked on points!! I purchased discount tickets for the Niagara Falls Funzone that is located at our hotel. We also have the Clifton Hill funpass and will do the Hornblower cruise. Tickets for the HB will be purchased when we arrive! For our one day in Toronto, we have tickets to the ROM bought from Costco and a groupon to Centerville Island which gives us 350 ride tickets.

This is a great thread! Just beginning to plan for a June trip. OP, how did you like the Hampton Inn? I might have missed a review in all of these pages. I will be rereading all this great info. This thread will be quite helpful!

We haven't gone yet. We go in June.

I just bought the Niagara adventure pass classic from AAA. 2 adults and 2 kids was $159.00. It includes 2 days of wego. Hornblower cruise, journey behind the falls, Niagara fury and white water walk.

Sorry, I didn't read very closely obviously. I have been looking at hotels and thought about the Hampton. I see you have changed to the Sheraton with a great deal. Trying to figure out the best hotel for my family and have been reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Anybody stay at the Hampton? So glad I came upon this thread.

I haven't but the reviews seem great.

We're doing a Canada trip this summer and are spending two nights at Niagara. We're going to get that same pass...everything we want all rolled into one. We're also going to see a play (part of the Shaw Festival at Niagara-on-the-Lake) but that was not a budget-conscious decision, lol!

Any thoughts on the best hotel with a late teenager? We actually prefer a suite set up which gives him his own space...

TIA!

Get it through AAA for savings! When are you going?

We are taking our 18 month old on our trip to Niagara Falls (canada side) in a couple of weeks. Any advice on attractions restaurants that would be good for that age? We've never been

Not til late summer. But we've already started buying tickets to things. Can I use my AAA card online to buy them and get the discount?
I had to go into my local AAA office to buy it. You can always buy it direct but no discount then. Also check costco for tickets to attractions. I did purchase tix online on Costco's Canadian website.

I looked at aaa.com and they said they'll have the tickets in May. I do have a AAA store near by, so may call them and find out. Thanks for the tip!

Nice. I'm in southern New Jersey. I guess we lucked out and got tickets early.

I'm in Maryland, the mid-Atlantic AAA, which I thought also "has" NJ. I'm going to call this week, but even if I have to wait until May, I have time. If nothing else, I'll save myself a foreign transaction fee if I can buy the tickets in USD.

Hi Maria
We usually stay at the Hilton (we just stayed there this past week for a conference).
We also stayed an additional night at Four Points By Sheraton,,they have larger suites.
Nice pool and gym on the third floor
Starbucks coffee on Lobby level
East Side Marios and I-Hop-Ruth Chris Steakhouse

I live only 40 minutes from Niagara Falls Ontario Canada.

My other more budget is
Days Inn Clifton Hill

some suites have balconies or terraces.
some rooms are courtyard and some are in the main building tower--I prefer the main building tower.
nice small pool
across the street from Casino Niagara.
Applebees restaurant.

Check prices online before you assume a familiar chain will be cheaper than somewhere that seems fancy. The IHOP cost more than the fallsview casino buffet across the street.
Be very careful though to specifically check the prices of Niagara Falls itself. The prices tend to be inflated, even at chains.

Hi Hon--how true
We are Canadian but find the food prices in Niagara Falls highly inflated.
The breakfast buffet at the Casino is cheaper than most restaurants.
Even Starbucks prices are higher.
We usually eat at Kelseys restaurant for lunch or dinner.,,, they are closed right now for renovations but should be open for the Spring/Summer season.
A new go to place for us is Paramount Fine Foods--lovely restaurant -great food and --fresh.
