Any suggestions on good hotels in Niagara Falls with rooms that have views of the falls? It seems that most people suggest staying on the Canadian side. We are thinking of visiting at the end of June. I have been looking at Tripadvisor but would like some more specific opinions. Where have you gotten good hotel rates? Thanks for any suggestions! :)

We like the Oakes Hotel. It overlooks the Horseshoe falls and is right next door to the fallsview casino. You can see the American falls as well and it is very pretty at night with the lights on the falls. I always book right through their website. If you decide to stay here make sure you book a room for the 9th floor or higher for the view.

If you decide to stay on the Canadian side, here are a couple hotels to check out; Four Points Sheridan, Fallsview Casino Resort, The Marriot Fallsview, The Oakes Hotel, are just a few! check out the Niagara Falls Tourism webite, they can give you more ideas as well . Hope that helps. Enjoy your trip, its a beautiful area!

If you "like" Embassy Suites on Facebook you will see great deals. We just went Easter weekend and stayed on the Canadian Side. Beautiful and fun!

The Embassy and Hilton have great views. We have stayed at the Double Tree, which was less money, but we still got a partial falls view room. Its a little further away, but still easy to walk to the falls. We probably saved $50-75 per night by staying there.

We've stayed at the Hilton Fallsview, the Embassy Suites and the Sheraton on the Falls. All in Fallsview rooms.

The Hilton is amazing but the most $$$. We've stayed at the Embassy Suites the most. I feel like you get the most bang for your buck there. Try booking on their website or calling the hotel directly for the best rates.

Children under a certain age (16 or 18 I think, DD is 8 and she doesn't yet need anything else) just need their birth certificates and your passports will work for you & your spouse.

A few years back we booked Sheraton ON the Falls on Falls Ave. directly thru their website and got a great deal. It was only for 2 nights, and we got vouchers for breakfast both mornings and a voucher for dinner. Upon check in, they asked us if we wanted a higher floor for $60 more. We decided against it, and had the 7th floor which was great. I would go anything less than 7th. Room also had a jacuzzi. Food is very expensive so the vouchers were well worth it. There is a counter in the lobby that sells the adventure passes-DO NOT BUY THERE. Buy any passes down by the falls. We also did the Butterfly conservatory, and that was amazing.

When we went 2 weeks ago we had to show the kids passports. They are 4 and 6. They asked specifically for passports. I'm not sure if this is a must but it seemed like it was.

We had a couple rooms at the Sheraton Falls View and it was simply amazing:

This one was a corner room:

And this one was a two level room:

I LOVED the corner room because the seating was all oriented right next to the windows and you could sit there and look out the windows. This is probably one of my favorite rooms I've ever stayed in.

The two level room was unique, but everything was far from the windows making it feel more enclosed and narrow. When you're there, you'll want to be right there next to the windows for the best all around view.

What do we need to go to Canada Paperwork wise? DH and I have passports but our 3 yr old does not.

Adults need passports but kids only need passports when travelling by air. If you travel by land or sea a birth certificate is all that's required.

The Embassy Suites has a great view and a great hot breakfast!

I'll third this one! That breakfast blows any other "hot" free breakfast away. And the cocktail hour when we were there had baby tigers from the casino come to visit! We picked a high level falls view room and went to sleep watching the changing colors of the falls every night. Have a great time.

If you have the time go visit Niagara on the Lake- a little town about 15 minutes away. So cute and quaint

We stayed at the Embassy suites last summer and it had a beautiful view. We were there the last week of August, and the prices were less than half of what they usually charge during summer.

Another vote for the Embassy Suites!

We stayed at Embassy Suites about 9 years ago when it had first opened. Great view! Definitely pay extra for a higher room! So worth it!
