Newbie excursion question

We are going on our first cruise 8/30 on the Magic...my question is now that we've booked a few excursions one of them with a 7:30am start time...does Disney plan around those of us on early excursions do we start out the disembarking?

If it is a DCL excursion, then DCL will have the group on the excursion meet and start in a timely manner. If it is not a DCL excursion, then the DCL excursion will exit first then general boarding.

Yes, DCL is very organized. When you enter your stateroom for the first time after embarkation, your tour tickets will be in an envelope on your desk. The tickets will tell you where to meet your tour group, and what time. Most of the excursions meet in a lounge or theatre on the ship, get checked in, and leave together as a group.

If your excursion leaves from a port that requires tendering (ferry to shore instead of the ship being docked at the pier) then DCL excursions will have priority on the little tender boats. Sometimes the afternoon excursions are scheduled to return after everyone else is back onboard, allowing the excursion people to have access to the tender boats without waiting in long lines.

It should also be noted that the "start" time on DCL excursions is the time that you will meet in the designated area. From there, the DCL activities crew member assigned to that group will get you organized with a sticker for that excursion and then escort you to meet whoever is taking you on the tour.
