New York, South Carolina, Bermuda, Galveston

We live in NY and we have sailed out of a NYC a few times. Most recently to Bermuda this past May on the Norwegian Dream. We did not find the trip any more rough than our cruises out of Florida. In 2005 we took a Carnival cruise out of NYC to the Caribbean and also did not find that cruise any more rough. I do agree it CAN be rougher but last week on the Magic we had a pretty rough cruise on the return to PC so I can't agree with a blanket statement that cruises out of NYC are always rougher than cruises out of Florida.

There really is something special about sailing down the Hudson River out of NYC and passing the Statue of Liberty...a very moving sight!!!
