*** New Official February 2013 Thread ***

8 more days and I feel I am no where ready. This will be a busy weekend with packing, cleaning the house really well (I hate coming home to a dirty home), laundry and any last minute shopping of things I might have forgotten. Been a stressful couple of weeks and I am in need of a break! :sad2: :yay:

3 weeks from today our plane will be touching down in Orlando! If my boys are half as excited a my wife was I will be the happiest dad on the planet!

WE leave three weeks from today as well :cool1: A this moment I should be checking in ASMO!!!!

What is everyone bringing for sunscreen?

Our last trip was in September 2011 and we never left the room without slathering on the spf 50. Do you think we need to be that agressive this time of year??

It really depends on your skin tone etc. My daughter and I are very fair skinned and it was our February trip in 2011 that I broke out in a sun rash:crazy2:
I hadn't been very diligent about the sunscreen because it wasn't very hot (which I know is silly). I remember breaking out in what looked like hives while we were at MK. They didn't hurt. Just welts on my arms and my chest (V-neck shirt) and my face. So the sun is still pretty strong. You aren't going to sweat it off like you would in September though.
Luckily the welts went away when I went indoors for awhile. And out they came again if we went back out:rolleyes1 . They don't hurt, but they sure aren't attractive!
I buy pretty expensive sunscreen with no scent and UVA and UVB now in a SPF50 and I am fine.

You sound like me. I've been doing the "In ... days we will be doing...." for a week now.:rotfl:

We'll be getting ready for our evening flight in 2 weeks and 3 days:woohoo:

Ok right now I will be walking to my room b/c it will be ready :cheer2:

Go...

:hyper:5 days until Port Orleans Riverside!:hyper:
My DW's Godson will be marching in a parade in the MK a week from today (Mardi Gras).
Has anybody here ever been in Disney World for Mardi Gras? Is it noticeable? I've almost always been at the real thing, but this year, we're traveling, and I'm curious about what to expect.

Yay I'm in the teens!! It's almost feeling real. I only have 13 work days left!! That sounds even better. Everyone knows weekends don't count. hahaha.

4 more days to go! I have packed nothing. I'm really slacking this year on packing, usually mostly done by now. I just got my first day off in 8 days and I just want to sleep even though I have so much to do. I did get some cleaning done this morning so the house wouldn't be a mess when my mother came to look after the cats. So tired but need to get off my butt and get motivated.

this time next week, I'll checking and double checking to make sure everything is packed and ready to go!! now if this cough would go away and no one else get sick...and for all those who also sick and wishes the same thing, my prayers go out to ya!!:)

Sigh... I do believe my 5 yr old has fifth's disease. I know there are worse things and she seems past the contagious part, but the rash looks terrible. I hope the rest of us don't catch it..... we leave Friday.

Fingers crossed no one else in your family gets it.

We went in 2011 and 2012 Mardi Gras and are leaving in 3 days for another Mardi Gras trip. The crowds are a little heavier then normal but it should not be too bad. The year that we Mardi Gras was on the same week as President's Day was busy but this year should not be too bad. It will probably pick up around the end of next week since that will begin the President's weekend and peak season. Oh and we are staying at Riverside also in a Royal room.:cool1:
Hope you guys have a great time! Looks like we will have great weather!
On a side note... you will see lots of purple and gold from all of the LA visitors but not from us... We will be wearing our crimson & white!

We also check into POR RR Riverview next Monday! I booked room only through my Disney specialist TA. She just received our ME tags today! She Emailed me that she ran right out to the post office and got them back into today's mail to me. So I expect them on Thursday or Friday. That leaves 1 day to spare (Saturday's mail delivery).

I'm checking the weather daily and am partway packed. WDW, here we come :cheer2::cool1:

Leaving in 4 days! :)
Took DD2 to the doctor this morning and she has an ear infection and a sinus infection! :( She is feeling okay though and hopefully the abx will knock it out.

Just started packing today! It looks like the weather is going to be warm.
