Our cat Dumbo was put to sleep this past Thursday. The house felt "empty" and it felt like their was a void without him here. Our family had discussed another cat, possibly even two, but we didn't think it would be this soon.
I was telling my physical therapist about Dumbo and how we were hoping for a new cat soon. She goes "are you looking for 2 kittens?". I was suspicious and said why? Turns out her cat had just given birth to a litter of 5. She had 2 little boys left and couldn't find a home for them. She'd called the SPCA who told her if the boys were brought in they'd be put to sleep. She gave us some pictures of the kittens and her cell number so we could discuss it once we got home with the rest of the family.
It took about 30 seconds after we got home for the family to come to a decision, my mom was already on the phone! We brought them home Friday night.
One is my kitten, Noah. Jasper is my sisters. The only difference between the two is Noah has a white tip on his tail, Jaspers is black. I named him Noah, it's one of my favorite names. However, this little boy likes to do things he's not supposed to do. Everytime I yell out "NO!" but I can't keep calling him no, so I called him Noah.
Here he is - (excuse my dreadful appearance)
