MG....I've always been heartened to see these poll results. Who needs more people wanting to make reservations at our favorite spot?Maistre Gracey said:Once again, VWL is bringing up the rear. Although it doesn't appeal tp the masses, I believe two things:
1) It is many people's second favorite.
And more importantly-
2) Those of us who love it, have a deeper affection for it than others have for their #1 choice.
Just my opinion...

We always go in the summer, and admittedly the heat does mess with the theming somewhat. However, if you find a cool spot on the verandah with a cold adult beverage, the theming definitely takes hold!OneMoreTry said:I love the theming at VWL. It's just that the HEAT and HUMIDITY of WDW ruin it for me. I lived in the NW US for 2 years and it just ain't that hot and humid. I've seen snow in August. So I can't buy into it.

starbox said:I agree. I totally "get" VWL. I love it , even in August. My kids do not share my love. DH thought it was "okay".
My father, who we took with us, loved it as much as I do. He is a collector of native American artifacts. I grew up with vacation=state parks and lakes in my mind (and heart, I suppose). My only on-property Disney vacation as a child was to Fort Wilderness (and tent camping!) It made a huge impression on me.

I wish some day we who are more than enthusiastic about VWL could all plan a meet there. How fun would that be???
Sit around and just take in the theming......
