Never Mind The Clever Title, Here's My Trip Report! December 2014 Solo Trip (Completed)

I headed toward the China pavilion:

The Pot stickers and egg rolls at the China pavilion are amazing - delicious - yum - they're always on my list when i go to Epcot.

After looking at the Tomb Soldiers exhibit, I decided to go to the China movie. However, I took the below picture and changed my mind, as I realized that Mulan was about to be greeting the public.

I went outside and I had about 5 minutes before the photo session, so I took a picture of the China gardens:

It was time for Mulan to appear, and I was the second on line:

I then continued on to the next country, Germany:

I was tempted to get a gluhwein at the PROST! booth but I didn't want to overdo it:

I saw that Snow White was having pictures taken, so I got in line:

At this point, it was nearly time for my Soarin' Fastpass+ window, so I took a Friendship across to Future world.

I rode Soarin' and had a great time as always, then decided to ride Living With The Land as there was no line.

I will let the pictures speak for themselves:

Once my trip on Living with the Land was done, it was time for my Fastpass+ on Journey Into Imagination. I rode this and saw Figment, then did a little playing in the after-ride area. At this point, I was done, so I left the park.

I drove back to the time share, where I rested in the room for a while, then I realized that I had left my F.O.N.E. for the Agent Perry adventure in my pocket, so I drove back to EPCOT. Luckily, my parking pass and admission ticket were still good, so I parked and re-entered the park. I walked over to the Agent Perry kiosk and returned the F.O.N.E., apologizing for leaving the park with it. The cast member said it was OK, it was not the first time someone had left with it, and others had not returned theirs.

It was still fairly early, so I decided to go on Spaceship Earth, which I enjoyed as always. I didn't take any pictures, though. I walked around for a while, enjoying the early evening ambiance, then stopped off at the Fountainview Cafe, and picked up a Starbucks Venti Caramel Brulee Latte. I then exited the last park of my trip.

On my way back to the timeshare, I picked up dinner at Chik-Fil-A and re-fueled my rental car at Raceway. I am probably in the minority here, being from one of only two states where full serve is mandatory, but I am not a big fan of self-serve gas...

I drove back to the time share, ate my meal, watched some TV, did some Facebook updates on my smartphone, and went to bed.

This will be the last entry about my trip in my trip report. But fear not! I will also be posting the Photopass pictures from my 5 park days, so that's an additional few entries in the report.

Friday, December 12

I had originally planned to spend Friday in Downtown Disney, but with all the horror stories I had read on the Disboards of the traffic and difficulty parking, and since there was not a regular (as in, more than twice a day) shuttle from my resort to Downtown Disney, I decided to just relax at the resort.

I got up late, had breakfast, lounged around the pool, and then went up to my room, got dressed, and had an early dinner at an Italian restaurant in the shopping center near my resort, just off Route 192, named Little Italy. I had Veal Parmagiana, and it was good. I drove back to the resort, and packed everything back into my luggage.
I called home and spoke to my Dad, and then watched some TV and went to bed.

Saturday, December 13

I woke up around 6 AM, packed up the remainder of my luggage, had a light breakfast, and went to my car. I did not need to check out, as my room keycard expired that day. I drove to the Metropolitan Orlando Airport, checked in my car rental, went to the JetBlue kiosk, did the express check in, checked my luggage, and got through security no problem.

My flight was on schedule, I boarded, the flight was smooth. When my flight landed, after disembarking I walked to the called the limo company number from the baggage carousel and was picked up and driven home.

Next: Photopass pictures from Animal Kingdom

Photopass Pictures from Animal Kingdom (Sunday, December 7, AKA Pearl Harbor Day)

I actually didn't have as many pictures taken in this park, as it was my first park day, and I hadn't found my Photopass "groove" yet.

There are actually three duck bills in this photo - Donald's, Perry the Platypus on my shirt, and the Duck-billed dinosaur in the background:

Magic Kingdom Photopass Pictures:

I thought I had gotten more Magic Kingdom Photopass pictures taken, but in retrospect, I guess I spent more time actually riding rides and *doing* things... ;-)

Disney's Hollywood Studios Photopass Pictures

I only had a few pictures taken in Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The ride photo from Tower of Terror:

See? Not that many photos...

Just realized I never added the Photopass photos from my Epcot days. I'll do that now... (next entry...)

When's your next trip?
No time in the near future, unfortunately. :( I recently lost my job, and finances are tight.

I still have a bunch more Photopass pictures to post from my EPCOT days, then this trip report is over, and I'll have to live vicariously through others' trip reports. I *do* have a retro-trip-report from 2009 that I've been working on, on and off, that has several entries to go before that's over, but that one is dependent on more foggy memories (it was 6 1/2 years ago...)

I'll wrap this trip report up with the sad last few pictures I took at the Orlando Airport just before I left Florida:

And, with that, thus endeth my trip report of my most recent, and until further notice, last, trip to my happy place... Now to concentrate on real -life, interspersed with reading others' pre-trip and trip reports... If you liked this report, feel free to read my other reports in my signature, if you haven't already...

Great trip report! After reading your TR, I've decided to get the Memory Maker as the magic shots are great and look like fun!! :rainbow:
