Need Travel Agent Help!

I've always booked our WDW vacations myself, but am strongly considering using a TA this time. We haven't been in a few years, so I haven't kept up with codes & specials like I used to. I'm thinking a good TA could get me a better deal at this point than I can. So, I'm hoping you guys can recommend a DU, TA that is willing to look for & apply codes, if available. One that is willing to book dining ADRs would be a plus, but not a deal breaker. Feel free to PM me, if you'd rather reply that way. FYI, we are FL res, AAA members, & plan to purchase seasonal APs, if it matters. Thanks in advance for your help. :)

It is against the disboards rules to post a certain ta's name, but I can tell you the person i use is through mousefan/mei travel. she has been fantastic, even when I switched resorts and dining plans. I used her for my last trip, and again for my one in 99 days. I like to make alot of my own decisions, but it is so much easier that I didn't have to sit on the phone all the time with disney. I feel lucky o know I have someone I can trust. pm me if you are interested in a contact name. I also like the fact that this agency is endorsed by another website that gives great disney info, allearsnet....if the name needs to be blocked out, I apologize and understand because it is for a different site that the disboards.

You may mention a TA's name but you are not allowed to post their contact information here.

If you decide to PM the OP no need to post here that you have sent a PM.

I've used travel agents for my last two trips. The one that I wholeheartedly recommend (thanks Safetymom for saying it's ok to give a name & agency) is Coleen at Mei/Mousefan Travel. She was very good, & meets all of the requirements you listed. Good luck!

Enjoy the Magic!

Jo R at Small World is the best. We've booked 2 or three times a year for 4 years now through her for us plus our extended family and always had great service :)

Thanks all! I really appreciate the help. Now to decide which to contact. I'm guessing any TAs from the same agency will have the same offer. :confused3 I'll definitely contact one from each of the different agencies though. :thumbsup2

We use Michelle at Mousefan Travel/MEI. She's nothing short but great. She's on the phone with WDW multiple times a day for me and keeps checking on things for the 'just to be sure' even when I'm not worried at all. And it's no punihment she got me the best possible DCL price out there. ;)

I use Magical Memories Travel and have always been pleased. I've used 2 different agents there and have been happy with both. :) They have always booked my ADRs too.

There are many travel agencies out there! Make a checklist of things to ask a TA, especially if you are planning on a Disney Vacation. Ask if any of their agents are Disney Specialists, who are College of Disney Knowledge graduates. Ask if they watch and apply discounts for you. Ask if they will make your ADR's unless of course if you are staying Club Level then the Itinerary Planner will get in touch with you. If you will be celebrating a birthday, anniversary, wedding/honeymoon are they willing to help make the "extra" magic happen for you.

Also...tell them...you will be in constant contact with them to make sure everything is in place for you. Most of all...don't be afraid to ask questions, after all...it's your magical vacation! Make sure they make you feel special at all times not like you are invading their space and bothering them.

another tip i would add, ask if they have ever been to wdw. you'd be amazed how many people are experts who have never experienced. maureen has been married there, and is planning her own trip for christmas. when I used AAA for my first trip, i wasn't made aware of adr's...yes, that was before i knew about all the websites that offered advice.

I might be to late to give any advice but, AAA has some added perks and discounts. You can search it all over these boards. HAVE A GREAT TRIP !!!

AAA is the way to go!! I originally had mine booked with Disney, I called my TA, she took the reservation over and saved me an additional $500!!!
