We order from Garden Grocer every trip and schedule delivery for our arrival day. We haven't stayed in a villa, so haven't have a full kitchen (just a small fridge), but still order: snacks (chips, veggies, dips, cheese, crackers, nuts, fruit), breakfast items (cereal and milk, yogurt, muffins, more fruit), and sammich makings (bread, lunchmeat, cheese, lettuce). OH, and we order wine and beer from GG
. (I don't order condiments from GG, I bring small packs of mayo and mustard from home (I save extras of these when we get takeout subs throughout the year.)
Now, given our experience eating breakfast, snacks, and the occasional sandwich in our room, if I had a villa...I'd order the same items PLUS a few heavier/microwavable snacks (for my boys who eat eat eat) and items to make a big meal one or two days. So, snacks: frozen pizza; tortilla wraps and shredded cheese (and sour cream) for my oldest, who LOVES to make his own quesadillas in a microwave or on a stovetop; ramen noodles. Given I had a full kitchen in a villa, I'd order eggs, bacon, pre-made biscuits, and pancake mix as well (good for breakfast AND breakfast for dinner). Plus a few boxes of pasta, some sauce, and parm for a quick, easy filling lunch or dinner. Salad mix with dressing. Probably a pack of hot dogs, buns, and canned chili as well.
So, basically, don't rely on the resort grocery. Order online ahead of time, because you'll save money and have greater selection. Plus, bell services will hold your grocery order for you until you arrive (and will keep cold items cold for you!)
