We are involved in an ongoing property dispute and had to hire a lawyer. We aren't scheduled to go to court until this late Fall. (Our neighbor decided that he owned more property than what the filed survey says and strung one strand of barb wire across a portion of our wooded property - taking about 3 acres of our land) Anyway, due to this situation, we can not go to Disney this Fall. We are all disappointed (my husband, myself and our 11 yr old son). So my husband decided he wants to have a end of summer family fun day (similar to those field days you used to have at school). He has given me the task of deciding on games, food and decorations. Since money is tight right now, I'm needing some creative and budget friendly ways to decorate and design games for 3 people. This is what I have so far: August is the month we will have our day Games: 4 wheeler obstacle course (we have 20 acres) water gun fight water balloon volleyball glow stick hide n seek (night game) badmitton water trampoline (water just sprays over trampoline) Food: Grilled burgers n corn Homemade Ice Cream Oreo Pudding Poke Cake Decorations: ????? They are wanting this day to last all day. I just don't know how to stretch this out. My husband and I both work nights - so I was thinking sleep late and start our day sometime after lunch when it won't be so hot (lower Alabama living). Also, if anybody has suggestions for a fun name for this day, please give suggestions on it as well.
