Need Alaskan Port Adventures Help

DS will turn 10 halfway through our Alaskan cruise. This will put him into the "adult" pricing category on shore excursions and cost an additional 750.00 When our booking window opens, he will still be considered a child, so how does this work? Has anyone had experience with this? Thanks!

His age when the cruise begins is his age for the entire cruise. Just ask those who turn 21 during a cruise, still considered 20 for the entire week. No booze for them
