Need 2 extra nights best way to go

Have a trip planned in February and don’t want to borrow points from the next year but we are wanting to add 2 nights to the ones we already have reserved with our DVC points.
will a rental place rent points for just 2 nights?
would you just call Disney and pay cash?
buy one time use points?
looking for best way to add 2 nights any suggestions

If you can get the room for the two nights for 24 points or less then that is your best / easiest route, plus you wouldn’t have to change rooms.

ETA: I never actually said what “that” is….I meant buying one time use points.

Many owners will rent only two nights. If you do that, the. You have link the reservations by putting a note on yours and the other owner doing the same.

You can also check with MS to see if they are available for cash at the DVC discount of 25% or use that for one night and OTU points for the other at 7 months as those can’t be bought until then..up to 24.

Of course, you can always try direct with Disney and do the same as the rental..note on each it is a continuing stay

As far as I know, the rental agencies do not have a minimum number of nights. Maybe they would even like a small request, because some people are putting in requests which require a lot of points and owners don't necessarily offer that many for rent.

No way to know without asking. The discount is not always available, and when it is, it's only for DVC villas and must be booked by MS. Sometimes there are better discounts available from CRO/DRC. You have to check.

Renting is the easiest. It would be 2 separate reservations, which you can link and most likely won't have to change rooms.

I'm sure a collection of people from the "What to do with leftover points" thread would be happy to rent you some points for 2 nights, especially in Feb when the points charts are low. The hard part is finding them in the rental threads...
