The 30th race of the 36 race 2012 season is at Talladega Superspeedway for the "Good Sam Roadside Assistance 500".
This 4th race in the chase will be held SUNDAY, October 7th.
Qualifying is set for SATURDAY, October 6th. Please make your picks before qualifying is scheduled to begin.
Talladega SuperSpeedway is a tri-oval track with a lap distance of 2.66 miles. After 188 laps of VERY exciting NASCAR racing...we'll seea total race distance of 500 miles.
NASCAR legend and Hall of Famer #3 D Earnhardt had 10 wins since 1975 here to lead all racers.
Other history:
In May this year, #24 J Gordon had the pole but last weeks winner, #2 B Kezelowski took home the win.
In 4/11, #24 J Gordon was on the pole in a race won by #48 J Johnson.
In 10/11, #55 M Martin was in the first grid and #15 C Bowyer grabbed the checkered flag.
In 4/10, #48 J Johnson was first behind the pace car to start the race and #29 K Harvick was first to cross the start-finish line.
In 10/10, #42 J P MOntoya turned in the fastest qualifying time in a race won by #15 C Bowyer.
In 4/09, #42 J P Montoya st on the pole and #2 B Kezelowski cruised to the finish line.
In 11/09, #48 J Johnson was on top the leaderboard to start the race and #1 J McMrray was on top the leaderboard at the end.
#18 Kyle Busch and #14 T Stewart won the 'Dega races in 2008.
