The 21st race this season is the "M&M's Fan Appreciation 400" on SUNDAY, July 24th at Pocono Raceway.

Please make your picks before the start of the race.

Pocono Raceway is a tri-oval track with a lap distance of 2.5 miles. 160 laps are scheduled for a race distance of 400 miles.

This tri-oval is different and more difficult than other tri-ovals because of steeper slopes on the track and the severity of the corners on the 3 turn asphalt surface.

#18 is the defending champion.

The #11 has the most wins of active drivers with 4 victories.

The #18 has 3.

The #45 has 2/ One time winners are the #34 and the #6.

My Pocono picks

D Hamlin - Gunning for #5...

C Elliott - Doing really well...

K Larson - Needs to step it up a bit and this is a great track for him to do it...

M Truex JR!!! - Running pedal to the metal...

K Harvick - Savvy veteran and way past due for a win here....

My spare will be the #18

The current news coming out of NASCAR is that #11 D Hamlin the race time winner and the 2nd place finisher the #18 Kyle Busch failed post race inspections and were both disqualified.

Both drivers were put at the back of the pack. Both raced fr J. D Giibbs Racing. Probably looking at some heavy fines and point deductions.

I am going to hold off scoring the Pocono race until tomorrow to let the smoke clear and ensure an accurate score.

In other news, the #45 was not driven by Kurt Busch, so when I do score, spares will be used. I believe he was picked once.

Meanwhile, I will now go post the Brickyard race for next Sunday.

I can't believe that the 18 DQ didn't hurt that bad. But I guess most of us picked him.
