This will be our first time attending the Epcot Food and Wine Festival :-)cool1: Empty Nest :cool1:) and want to know what some of your favorite "snacks" are from the various booths surrounding World Showcase.

We'll be staying onsite the opening weekend at AKL Kindani and will have DDP. Let me know what you think the best value for our snack credits will be.

So far we know we want to try the filet from Canada and Lobster Roll from Hops and Barley but need help deciding what else.

If you have pictures to post, that would be great!

Thanks in advance, Steve :thumbsup2

don't have any pictures but have some favs.

love anything from canada.

anything from greece is great.

the pork slider is fantastic.

all items from france.

items from japan are great.

the shrimp from china is very good.

the waffle with raspberries and whipped cream. can't remember where it is from. in the area close to japan. lost my map!

someone has crm brul that is really great.

the chocolate lava cake close to the rose and crown.

your snack credits will pay for one item each, but you may want to try many more. it is a fun event. ;) if you eat enough you may not need a meal that night.

Would love to hear more favorites... keep 'em coming
OP- the disney food blog has photos of every dish from last year (once you see the full list, click on the country name and it'll bring up photos and descriptions/reviews for each food item.

the who #3 - Thank you for your post, everything you listed sounds like things we would like.

Taylor'sMom - Thanks for your tip. I found the site the disney food blog and will check out all the yummy food porn. :lmao:

Cheers, Steve

I agree that anything from Greece and Canada is good. I didn't get to try the pork slider in Hawaii last year so I am looking forward to trying that this year, my family loved it.

The waffle is from Belgium (Belgium Waffle).
Creme Brule is in France.
The chocolate lava cake was great and was in Ireland. I say was because it isn't back this year.

I don't like it but I believe the best bang for your DDP snack credit buck is the Lobster Roll at the Hops and Barley Booth.

Some of my other favorites are: (I don't know if they are on the DDP though)

Roast Bratwurst in a Pretzel Roll in Germany
Kielbasa and Potato Pierogie in Poland
Anything from Morocco
Lamb Meatball with Spicy Tomato Chutney from New Zealand
The cheese booth

You can definitely burn through your DDP snack credits pretty quickly, we are planning on hitting up Epcot on our arrival night for dinner around the world, as long as my 2 year old agrees.
