DAY 8
(CC DAY)
Thursday Jan 13th
High temp for the day: 78 degrees and sunny skies




MY SHORE EXCURSION GOT CANCELED!!
(The CC catamaran/snorkel tour)
They said was due to mechanical failure.


SO WAYYYYYY UNCOOL!!


Back to the drawing board for me and what to do!!

So I put on my Pooh think tank
and I thinked thinked thinked -

Until I could think no more.


Just then,
up popped a wonderful idea!


So,
since I didn't get a chance to actually hold a Ray while on the
previous shore excursions -


why not the "Feed the Rays" tour while at CC??



And so it was as I had a nice liesurely breakfast at Topsiders before hand
(around 8am)
before headin' out to see the sights of CC:

THE PLACE IS JUST WONDERFUL!!


After I had fun feeding the rays for a while, I was off to Cookies II for lunch:

What awaits me after lunch??

Why u ask?


Because just off the beaten path (just a ways on down from where the above pic was taken) and off on your right, there are these little gems of a find:

and there, you will find IMHO, eternal bliss:

Otherwise known as a spa retreat at DCL's open cabanas.


AH! The peacefullness of a 1 hour massage there is definately worth it!!


Soooooo relaxing!!
So wonderful!!
AND THE VIEW?

LOVED IT!!


I miss it already.




Afterwards, I meandered a bit around CC before deciding that it (SIGH!!) was "that time" to mozy on back to the ship and slowly get ready for one last meal with "the gang" at Table#32.

So after a really nice meal last night, I was off to bed one last time on the Magic.



I went to bed with a pocketfull of memories that would last me a lifetime......


Or until my next DCL cruise!!

DAY 9
Fri; Jan 14th

SO it is written that all good things must come to an end. Jennifer and her Husband that an earlier flight so they didn't make it to breakfast (UGH!! It was at 8:15am!!).
Everyone else made it one last time to table #32.

Sad to see it end - but we all promised to stay in touch (and still do via Facebook).


So it was rapidly approaching the bewitching hour, when................................................................

ANYWHO -



So, here I am, close to the bewitching hour and I decided to quickly mozey on up to one of the ship's decks for a few last minute pics.



As I am taking them, my heart saddens a weee bit cuz it's time to go back to my home country:

"REALITY-LAND"

AS I finish snapping a few more pics, I realize it's NOW the bewitching hour and time for me to go "Poof."

So I head back to one of the elevators -


As I am just about to get into one of them - who do I see????

getting out of the elevators??


YUP - ya guessed it!!


ALL OF "THEM."



OK - SO WWYD??????????


Me?
I had to think fast!!


I see a CM just to my right ...

RATS!!!!!


My heart was just screaming for a group photo but I knew that technically I was 'back-stage" so.....


I took the high road here and passed it off and said a few silly things to each of them.


And as I turned to MM, I remarked that I am sad that I have to return to my home country.


Goofy thought about it for a moment........ then the other MM pointed her finger up in the air as if to say, "I've got it!"


What did they come up with u ask??


They had me stand with them forming a circle around me and gave me a group hug!!


AND....

and they were leaving, MM turned around , blew me a kiss and waved goodbye.


I stood there with the elevator door closed - just a crying like a little schoolboy for what seemed like 3-4 minutes before I realized that I really need to leave.


-THIS JUST MADE MY WHOLE VACATION -



So, with a smile now in my heart, I was slowly wiping my tears that were still streaming down my face as I disembarked the ship with a pocketfull of wonderful memories.

...this was one whirlwind of an adventure that I will never forget!!

Have no issues, no complaints as this is one vacation I would recommend to anyone......INCLUDING playing bingo (I did that one early mid am.....didn't win but had fun playing).



But wait!!
The adventures don't end here -
