I drove into a lamp post in a parking lot. The result of my heart stopping. By the grace God someone came forward and gave me CPR. Because of that I didn't die nor my brain get damaged.

I have an irregular heart beat and foolishly turned doe a defibrillator

If I had it the heart would have been shocked back into action.

I was afraid of the shock.

If a doctor recommend one take it. I was lucky I was in a public place and someone stepped forward.

Mr. Manning glad to hear you are OK and recovering. You might want to post this on the Coping and Compassion thread where it would be a bit more suitable.

Everyone, I believe the OP just wanted to share his story and let us all know about the defibrillator.

You sit on your brains a lot?

Just hope you never have to go thru it.

    Goes for a few others.

Something you would expect from a 10 year old.

So do you remember any of it? If so, did you know that your heart stopped or did you just black out?

That's crazy. Glad everything turned out ok.

Don't remember any of it. My wife told me I said "oh no" then hit the light post. I woke up several days later and my first site was the ceiling. My first thought was where did that crazy ceiling come from. Then saw my wife. She was a site for sore eyes.

If you don't know CPR go learn it. They tell me if it wasn't for that person giving me CPR right away there would have been two results. I would be dead now or survived with a scrambled up mind.

20 years ago I used CPR on someone and brought him back. He had another heart attack at the hospital and didn't make it. At least he had another chance.

Looks like I go home Tuesday from rehab.

So happy that you're going home! You've inspired me to take a CPR class, thank-you.
