MVMCP-No Wrist Band Check

We were there on the 18th and they certainly were checking wristbands. We were stopped several times and had to show ours. We saw a CM speaking spanish to a family that did not have them and watched her escort them out.

It was warm and everyone was in t-shirts, so it was pretty obvious who didn't have them on.

The night we were there (12/7) it was FREEZING (like in the 30s!) and we were dressed in many layers. We were asked repeatedly to show our wristbands and just pushed up our sleeves quick and flashed them. :thumbsup2

We were there Dec 18 and they did check us a few times. They did not scan our tickets when we went in, however. We saw several groups passing the tickets to others waiting on Main St. and I assume those people would just go up front and get their bands. I think it would be much better if they emptied the park prior to letting the party people in. I think its the only way to ensure those who pay for the party get it, and those who have not paid, dont.

The party was fun, but I dont know that it was worth $55 or whatever we paid for it. The park was pretty crowded. The parade and fireworks were shown other nights so they were not unique to the party. The cookies and hot chocolate was nice, but really, is it worth the $$$.. probably not for us. I liked the atmosphere, but there was a holiday atmosphere other nights, too.

Now is a great time to remind everyone with concerns about how parties are managed to contact WDW with your concerns.

I can.

Thanks for the reminder and the link. I was disappointed in the party and will not be buying tickets again. The shows were there during the day and I could see the lighting any night. The week prior to Christmas I was able to see the parade and teh fireworks and the snow on Main Street was better than the party night.I found that it was crowded and not really worth the over $200 extra my family spent.

I did not notice if wristbands were being checked though, it was warm so most folks did not have jackets on.

I have written to express my opinion on the party.

We were there on the 14th and they were deffinately checking wristbands. I saw many people turned away without them.

Us, too. They checked where we were sitting for the parade at LEAST 3 times and actually escorted a family out near us because they did not have a wristband. Also while my grandmother and DD sat and had dinner, I ran over to Haunted Mansion to ride and they checked me coming and going, and that was right at 7.
