MK Boat to Fort Wilderness?

Going to be staying at a MK resort in October and considering doing Hoop Dee Doo. Can we take boat from MK and does it stop running back to MK at a specific time?

Taking the boat to HDDR is probably the best way to get there! The boat will continue running until about an hour after MK closes. If MK closes, and the boats are no longer running, they will run buses to the resorts. They won't be resort specific though...a bunch will be combined on one bus. It's usually only an issue after the late performance..and if it's at a time of year the park closes on the early side.

Thanks - so it looks like MNSSHP is running that night at MK from 7pm on. Any bets as to whether return boats would be running to MK given that scenario (will either do the 6:30 or 8:30 show). Also, how long does the boat ride take and how far in advance of the show should we plan on being at boat dock to board. Thanks again!

boats will be running as that is how guests at the Fort get back and forth from MK and they will be needing to get back from party. boat ride is about 20 minutes but that does not include waiting for boat

The boat will be running a bit past the end of party time. I have always arrived at the boat dock, at MK, an hour prior to the start of HDDR. That way, you have plenty of time to get there and then walk around checking out the area. If the boat is just leaving the dock when you get there, it will be a longish wait until the next one comes....having that hour makes it less stressful.

There's also a boat from CR to FtW. It may be the smaller Launch class boat, which does not accommodate ECV's or unfolded wheelchairs or strollers.

Just to confirm for this...if we take the MK Boat to Ft Wilderness for Hoop Dee Doo, will it accommodate an ECV if my sister decides to use one? And if she chooses not to use an ECV how far is the walk from the boat dock to the dinner show building?

Yes, most of the time, the boats used on that run do accept ecv's. Another alternative is to take the bus from MK to WL, and transfer there to a bus to FtW.

Walking distance from the FtW boat dock to Pioneer Hall is only 0.1 mi.
