I'm in my senior year of my Social Work program, which means I'm in internship 20 hours a week, working over 20 a week, and taking 12 credits. Note to everyone - don't choose to do it your senior year!! Not my brightest move, but oh well!
I have four papers to do before I leave on October 6th! Enough of my grinching!
So I'm rushing around to get things done - we're 3/4ths of the way packed, but I'm going to take some stuff out. We're looking at four suitcases, 2 carryons - we're going Southwest out of Boston, so we're not going to have to pay for extra baggage. One of my best friends from Northern Maine is going to take one rubbermaid tote with all the gifts for our attendants and breakable stuff in her SUV down to Florida, so that's really going to help us! As I packed, I wrote everything down so I'll be able to write out a packing list for you all - I know people have asked about that before, so I would like to help my DISBrides!
I went for my final fitting 9-19-09, and I had my bolero with me. Here's a point of advice for other brides who might be thinking of a bolero - have your seamstress put small clear snaps on it, so it stays positioned correctly. I tried my bolero on with my dress and it was a bit big so it was moving around. The snaps will really help. From what the seamstress was telling me, this isn't uncommon - so that's my helpful tip of the day! Here's what it looks like - look at the dress, not my doofus grin! Oh and the bustle in the back!
I have the escort cards! Because my life is crazy busy, they're nothing grand. I used the Disney font and put a Mickey or Minnie on each. I have light blue and yellow Minnie and Mickeys, depending which table the person is at.
I haven't separated them, just because I think it will be easier to transport this way. I stuck them in a folder.
Here are my really simple programs. I bought the paper last year - 100 sheets for 75 cents. I really wanted to spiff them out, but again I didn't have the time! (And don't!)
I did get my wedding ring! It's just a simple band of white gold - nothing fancy at all.
I haven't gotten the labels in yet for my votives! So the favors aren't done! I got an awesome deal on the votives during Labor Day weekend. Each Yankee Candle votive is usually 1.99, but they were 50% off! So I bought 40 of them, and then I had a 10 dollar coupon - so I spent 30 on the votives, and 10 on the custom labels. It would have been 150 to have Yankee Candle do customized votives for us, so the savings is awesome!
Oh yeah - we got our tickets to
MNSSHP on October 15th! We finally decided on our costumes - we're going as the 80's. I'm dressing up as a girl from the 80s - purple shirt with the neck stretched - lots of florescent jewelry, my old New Kids hat, two bandanas on the knees (a la Punky Brewster), bleached jeans, leg warmers, and multiple watches. Not to mention the makeup - wait until you see that picture! LMAO!! Rob is going as 1980's Bruce Springsteen - he originally wanted to do something Hair Band, but Bruce is much easier - jeans, white t-shirt, red bandana and poofy hair.
I can't believe we're down to 18 days! HOLEY MOLEY!! Where the heck did the time go?!

We actually call Rob's car the Hooptymobile, so I think extending it to the minibus is fitting! 
Married life is good 
Ive started a new job we moved and we are still married so that is a good thing....been 9 months. May time flies when you are having fun.
